Thank you for playing Fire Emblem Heroes game. Here's an update from the development team.

In Arena Duels and Arena Assault seasons that begin on February 27, 2018 at 7:00 AM UTC, we will make an adjustment to the game's method for matching players by strength.

How Opponents Are Selected
In Arena Duels or the first matchup of Arena Assault, the strength of your opponent will be selected from a set range of strength for each of the difficulties-Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced-based on your team's strength when you select Battle.

So What's New?
Regardless of the difficulty in Arena Duels or Arena Assault, for your first match, you may find yourself matched up with a slightly weaker opponent with a lower score than in past seasons. However, with this new difficulty range setting, you are less likely to be matched up with a significantly weaker opponent as you play.

Why It's Changing
These are out goals in making the change:

  1. To increase the enjoyment of playing in the Arena
  2. This change will help players with extremely strong teams be more consistently matched, reducing incidences of matches against defensive teams with extremely low scores.

Another notification about the topic will be sent out at February 27, 2018 at 7:00 AM UTC.

We hope you continue to enjoy playing Fire Emblem Heroes.
