Description | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat, and also, if unit's Spd > foe's Spd, reduces damage from attacks during combat and from area-of-effect Specials (excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials) by percentage = difference between stats × 4 (max 40%). (If area-of-effect Special triggers outside of combat, checks stats and conditions for damage reduction at time of trigger and again at start of combat.) |

Notes[ | ]
- The stat increase that can be applied by Areadbhar is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage-reduction is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Percentage-based damage-reduction effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Godlike Reflexes activate, the maximum total damage-reduction is 70% instead of 90%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 50%) × (1 − 40%) = 30% of the original damage.

Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- Effects that select units based on stats, such as Chill Def/Res 3, directly select the unit with the appropriate stat(s); they do not compare the team's units pairwise to decide which unit has the highest or lowest stat(s).
- Effects that check if a unit could make follow-up by decreasing the Spd difference, such as Potent 4, are not affected by Refined Areadbhar.
- Effects that increase the Spd difference, such as Wyvern Rift, are not affected by Refined Areadbhar.
- Refined Areadbhar stacks with other effects that treats a unit's Spd as if granted by a certain amount.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Phantom Spd 3's effects trigger the unit with both skills will have their Spd treated as if granted +17.
- The healing effect is triggered regardless if Refined Areadbhar's user performs an attack during combat. If foe engages and user cannot counterattack, Refined Areadbhar's healing effect will still trigger.
- Refined Areadbhar's user needs to survive the combat for the healing effect to trigger.
- Refined Areadbhar's healing effect stacks with skills such as Fury 4, that deal out of combat damage to their owner after combat.
- Refined Areadbhar's after combat healing will not work if the foe has a skill that prevents HP recovery such as Fatal Smoke 4 or Incurable+, or the user has been inflicted with Deep Wounds.
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- Areadbhar will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on foes from effects such as Heavy Blade 4, Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Infantry area effect.
- Since the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect will be neutralized on foes, Areadbhar will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect inflicted on the foe from effects such as Guard Sword+, Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Green)】, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit.

- The damage-reduction reducing effect of Areadbhar will apply to damage-reducing Specials such as Vital Astra.
- damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if a unit has Atk/Res Tempo 4 and Halves non-Special damage reduction and foe has Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two skills reduce the damage-reduction by (1 − ((40% × 50%) × 50%)) = 90% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced by individually.
- For example, if a unit has Spd/Def Tempo 4 and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge active, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − (50% × 50%)) × (1 − (40% × 50%)) = 60% of the original damage.
