This build is intended to make Berkut a mixed tank, functioning best under a Fortify Cavalry buff. If specials aren't an issue, Guard can be replaced by QR and the seal can be swapped out for Close/Distant Defense, depending on the rest of the team's needs. Iceberg and Bonfire are nearly identical, with Iceberg dealing slightly more damage on enemy phase.

Basically aimed at making Effie really hard to kill. With Burkut's Lance haing a decent attack stat, she can still do some damage. Fierce stance will help to keep her alive against magic and/or dragons. Aegis is for mages specifically. Wary Fighter keeps her from being doubled. The seals accomplish more of the same.

This build allows Fjorm to tank and recover health well. On enemy phase she will even out 40 Def / Res with Steady Breath and depending on your focus of Distant Def 3 or Close Defense 3. With the C Skill of Atk Smoke 3 she will keep reducing enemy attack by -7 after combat, allowing Fjorm to become even harder to kill.

B Skill can be swapped for preference. Aether is pretty much needed for best results in sustaining health.

Berkut's Lance could be used additional stats from refine and +7 Res during foe attack. With a Defense Refine Fjorm will be at 44 Def / 47 Res.

Florina has one of the highest RES compared to other fliers and has slightly higher than average HP but lacks in mostly everything else. Fury 3 fixes this by giving Florina a buff to her less than average stats.

-HP IV is restored with the +5 HP from Refined Berkut's Lance+.

Berkut's Lance+ and Fury 3 gives Florina's ATK a boost with an extra 17 ATK to make her less than impressive base ATK stat viable.

With Fury 3 and Close Defense 3 Florina's Defense becomes slightly above average when attacked up close.

+SPD IV, Fury 3, and +3 SPD from Refined Berkut's Lance+ gives Florina a Boost to her speed. This allows her to not get doubled as often while allowing her to double units she shouldn't have been able to double. Threaten Speed 3 compliments this side of her. Florina can easily take advantage of Threaten Speed by positioning herself where the enemy will fall within two spaces of her because she is a flying unit.

Quick Riposte 3 makes Florina guarantee a double when she is attacked. Close defense 3 Seal, Fury 3 and +7 RES from Refined Berkut's Lance+ let Florina defend with an extra 16 RES to her already high Base Res Stat when attacked up close. This in turn makes her very efficient against Dragon units. She also becomes more of a Magic Sponge when attacked because of Refined Berkut's Lance+ and Fury 3, giving her an extra 10 RES when defending. Distant Defense 3 makes her a good Mage Counter but she won't be able to counter mage units with the extra RES she gets from the skill which means she won't be able to use the extra RES when activating Glacies.

Glacies lets Florina deal 80% damage of her RES which is about an extra 29-30 damage (with Fury 3). This is a bit more than half of a lot of unit's Health in the game. The damage output from Glacies increases when attacked because of buffs from Berkut's Lance and Close Defense.

Assist skills are flexible but I'd recommend Reposition because Florina is a flying unit. This allows her to potentially move units areas the map that normal grounded units can cross.

The only downfall Florina has is the fact that she will be losing 6 HP after combat without a way of personally restoring her own HP. So she will need help from the team she's in to survive longer or this can be solved by Summoner Supporting her. This gives her a good extra HP to spend and buffs to all of her stats.

Gwendolyn, as a unit, can struggle to stand out from the pool or armored lances. Hardin pulls off a similar defensive statline whilst sporting better Atk and immediate access to rare and valuable skills. Effie, meanwhile, boasts significantly poorer tanking potential but has such fantastic offensive potential that she's generally a preferred option. Despite this, Gwendolyn still boasts what is arguably the best defensive statline, due to her HP and Defense being the highest in her class. The extreme conclusion of this is, therefore, to build into a formidable wall of a mixed tank, arguably the best such in the game.

As the name suggests, this build will transform Gwendolyn into an extremely bulky enemy phase tank that is still capable of dealing a lot of damage. Being on a full armor team, specifically with Ward Armor stacking, further compounds her defensive capabilities.

IVs: A resistance boon is necessary to further reduce damage taken from mages (as well as healers and dragons). Speed is the bane of choice because it does not take away from her bulk in any way. In fact, she needs to be as slow as possible to maximize her damage.

Weapon: Gwendolyn has base 38 defense and 28 resistance (31 with the resistance boon), so '"`UNIQ--item-638--QINU`"' is taken with the resistance refinement upgrade to boost her initially unimpressive resistance. Of course, her resistance will be further increased when she is attacked.

Assist: The assist skill is a matter of preference: '"`UNIQ--item-641--QINU`"' allows Gwendolyn and her allies to all stay within 2 spaces of each other (for Ward Armor stacking) and is generally easier to use, while '"`UNIQ--item-644--QINU`"' allows the player to extend the movement range of her by up to 2, as she can move 1 space and then pivot over an ally.

Special: Her special will be '"`UNIQ--item-647--QINU`"', and while that seems inferior to Ignis, Gwendolyn will actually have more resistance than defense. The resistance refinement increases her resistance to 35, and she gains another 7 when attacked, giving her 42 effective resistance.

A Passive: The A skill is relatively obvious. '"`UNIQ--item-650--QINU`"' will allow Gwendolyn to counterattack any unit that attacks her, regardless of range, which is essential on an enemy phase build such as this one.

B Passive: For the B skill, take the newly revealed '"`UNIQ--item-653--QINU`"'. While this is definitely more expensive than Quick Riposte, it has a lower threshold of 50% compared to 70%, and while above that threshold, the user has a built-in guaranteed Heavy Blade proc. Because of this, Glacies will activate every turn Gwendolyn is attacked as long as she is doubled, which she will almost always be thanks to her very low 21 speed. (Being attacked reduces the charge to 3, counterattacking with Vengeful Fighter reduces the charge to 1, getting hit by the opponent's follow-up attack reduces the charge to zero, and she can then strike back with a devastating Glacies proc.)

C Passive: To maximize her allies' bulk, take '"`UNIQ--item-656--QINU`"' as the C skill. Ideally, Gwendolyn should be run alongside three other armored allies that also have Ward Armor, and with everyone staying close together, each armored unit gains a greatly appreciated 12 defense and resistance during combat.

Sacred Seal: '"`UNIQ--item-659--QINU`"' is the sacred seal of choice to round out the build. When attacked by a ranged unit (all of which deal magic damage except for archers and daggers), Gwendolyn will gain 6 defense and resistance during combat.

Here are Gwendolyn's stats with this build when she is attacked by a ranged unit.

Alone: 54 HP, 44 Atk, 21 Spd, 44 Def, 48 Res (38 damage Glacies)

With three armored units each with Ward Armor: 54 HP, 44 Atk, 21 Spd, 56 Def, 60 Res (48 damage Glacies)

When all is said and done, Gwendolyn can truly become nearly unbreakable with this build at its maximum potential.

This build relies on the combination of Brave Hector's unique skills and the power of special fighter to produce a unit that will always double counter and always activate aether when attacked on enemy phase, along with impressive defensive stats to ensure he keeps going as long as possible.

Maltet provides special cooldown -1 and Quick Riposte at 50% or greater, both of which are vital to the build. Ostian Counter enables him to counter ranged units, essential for allowing him to deal with many attackers, and also provides him with extra def and atk during enemy phase, which is the vast majority of when he will be engaging. Special Fighter 3 gives Hector special charge +1 on all attacks dealt and received, while also slowing special charge for foes. This makes it possible to activate Aether after a single round of being attacked and countered, and prevents many specials from activating as quickly, reducing the amount of damage he will take. Aether is the focus of the build, enabling Hector to both dish out heavy damage and recover potentially large amunts of health, keeping him above the 50% hp threshold for his skills and giving him the longevity needed to outlast a great number of threats.

A Distant Def 3 seal will help to shore up his somewhat weaker resist to survive more ranged mage threats, along with his default Even Res Wave. Being paired with armored units providing Armor March or Ward Armor can make him easier to maneuver or make him almost impossible to kill. Some of the biggest threats to watch out for are units with guard, preventing Aether from triggering as reliably, units that can prevent counterattacks, such as brave Lyn, refined staves, or firesweep weapon, and some greens with emerald weapons or triangle adept.

Resistance bane is a superbane so we avoid that. Berkut's Lance + allows us to tank magic as well (+7! res when enemy attacks), especially with Refinement which gives +4 res and +5 hp to boot. This allows us to tank MGrima and Fae. QR to cover abysmal speed. Bonfire wins most matchups. DC is self-explanatory on a mixed tank. +Def/-Hp loses to only 10 heroes and most of them are green mages and Myrrh. Seal choice subject to player's preference.

With naturally high defenses, the best Res-boosting weapon available to become a fearsome mixed tank and 2 squares movement, Lukas shows himself to be an excellent hero to +10.

This Mathilda set is more or less a basic DC set but given the blue tomebreaker she can live through fast and strong units like Delthea and Linde even if you don’t have favorable IV’s. One notable benefit from +spd is to not get doubled by a black knight with a speed buff and give her a chance to win the matchup with the proc of iceberg given she has most of her hp. Having blue tomebreaker if using berkut’s lance is a must if you want to be countering reinhardt because he does not go down in a single hit and with many running lancebreaker it can be a huge problem because he will quad her and easily taker her out, and having both breaker skills acts as if none have the skill to begin with so she will double him. Having a refined weapon on her will be extremely beneficial because at neutral hp the buff will have her at 41hp instead of 36. The hp buff giving her more survivability will then give her a chance in a few more matchups against the very strong red units.

Oboro, Hinata, and Takumi all shared the experience of defending the great wall of Suzanoh against Nohr. Because of that wall her beloved Takumi defended, she swore to be a wall even more capable, a wall that will not fall, many enemies throwing themselves at her; to no avail. Access to pass this Oboro? Over her dead body, which won't happen, no matter the enemy. This can only be achieved with (at least) ok Hp, which she has, extroardinary defense, which she also has, and untouchable resistance, which she needs work on to have, in any circumstance.

The Wall of Suzanoh can be put in any mode, and work just as effectively. Her ivs somewhat fix her bad resistance, and her speed is unfixable and unnecessary, so it can have a minus iv.

Her weapon, Berkut's Lance+, helps her with her resistance problem a little bit. Swap is good on her, so she can get an ally out of, but herself into, an enemy's attack range. That assist is tailored to this kit. But, the standard reposition (or draw back) is also ok. Her special should be focusing on her strongest point, defense. Ignis for more damage, bonfire if the player wants it to happen more.

Now, her A, B, C, and S slots. Her b and c slots are very flexible, but Seal Attack 3 will work well as those enemies relentlessly throw themselves at this monster, she can't double, and she doesn't have the attack to one- shot them. So battling multiple enemies at once with this Oboro can start to wear her down, but with seal atk, even after they attack her for little damage, there atk lowers. Renewal can also be run to keep her alive. Threaten atk and atk smoke are really the only options working towards her being the almighty Suzanoh wall. That would be lowering her enemies' attacks. Smoke is more expensive than threaten, but in more situations than not, works better. Now, these two parts along with her weapon are the jewels of this build. In the a slot, Close Defense 3, and as the sacred seal, Distant Defense 3. This means when being attacked (and for an enemy phase unit, that isn't too uncommon) at any range, she gets +6 defense and +10 resistance. When being attacked at any range, not including seal or threaten or smoke attack, her Hp/def/res is 40/45/38. She really has become the wall that will now protect Takumi, especially with those stats...
