This build was designed to provide support for aether raid defense on more cramp maps, like the lava stage, where units are forced to be next to each other. Aversa's night punishes players when they put units together by debuffing them by a minimum of 3 points to each stat. This can potentially cause them to waste time or to lose a unit if they are not careful. In order to ensure this effect is activated consistently, HP/Spd 2 slot A and HP/Res 2 sacred seal have been chosen to boost her Hp. Alternatively, red duel flying could also be run as it provides 5 hp and allows Aversa to be used in arena. However, it is a heavy investment and I would not recommend doing so till she has been added to the Heroic Grail selection. For her slot B, Chill Res 3 allows her to unconditionally weaken foes with high res and makes them more vulnerable to Aversa and her magic based allies. A good partner for her on defense would be Reinhardt, because... Reinhardt :P(He gets +14 dmg from chill res 3 since his tome doubles). Her slot 3 is relatively flexible and depends on the team you are running her with. I recommend using Savageblow 3 in general, as it allows her to do some chip damage to surrounding enemies when she attacks.

This build aims to counter the meta armored dragon units that have been released recently in the arena. The purpose of G duel infantry is to bring her up to the armored tier in general cases, fury brings much greater synergy to her as a unit by increasing all of her stats, and Chill Res 3 brings a great deal of synergy to her kit by increasing the possible rate of activation on the +3 to stats during combat, as well as the application of the two ploys. Aether is primarily there to boost her arena score, with glimmer being a good alternative otherwise. While her stats are not entirely outstanding, she has lethal on a good majority of all dragon units even without any buffs. Running Quick Riposte 3 allows her to be a more generalist a better deals with Lyn: Wind's Embrace, and Henry: Happy Vampire.

The Dark Pontifex sports a usable but overall mediocre balanced statline, and so his plans for world domination instead revolve around his unique tome Imhullu, which damages and cripples physical foes on turn three. As such, Gharnef has two turns of preparation before he has to make the magic happen.

Fury forms the core of this build; the fourth-level version is ideal, and does exactly enough recoil damage to push him into Brazen range, until merges or flowers give him 41 base HP. The more accessible third level version can also work, however. The skill gives him decent defensive stats of 30 Def and 29 Res, and a base Spd of 38. Ardent Sacrifice can be used as an alternative method of lowering health, especially helpful in Aether Raids where at least one turn of approach is often necessary. This assist will also guarantee him Brazen range in the face of Duma's unique skill Upheaval.

As mentioned above, he uses his recoil damage to power himself with the seal Brazen Atk/Res. The Atk/Def variant functions about as well here, since the Atk is the primary focus and his gimmick is preventing counterattacks. As archers but not mages are effected by his no-counter effect, the Res variant is favored slightly. If a Brazen Atk/Spd seal ever comes out, that will function ideally. This helps patch up his middling attack stat.

Since he focuses most on his third turn, Odd Wave skills synergize perfectly for him. In lack of a Brazen Atk/Spd seal, Odd Spd Wave is the C-slot of choice to boost up his doubling potential to a more respectable level. If that seal ever does arrive, opting instead for the Atk variant would be preferable. Alternatively, if an ally can provide Spd support, more power is going to aid him more and the latter option is again superior.

His remaining slots are his most flexible. For B, his packaged option of Chill Atk functions respectably, as it is an additional punch to enemy units, fitting in well with his tome. More ideal, however, would the Res-debuffing variant of this skill. Moonbow is his special of choice, given his somewhat disappointing base attack. Given that he uses Brazen Atk/Res in his seal slot, Iceberg could be gambled on instead, hoping for an activation on the third turn (swap out for Bonfire if using Atk/Def). As he has two turns to charge special, various other options could be explored, including AOE, but these are going to be inconsistent in their application and so are not recommended.

Though this build is designed to allow Gharnef to punch through his enemies on the third turn with doubles, it can be subverted effectively with no required change into a support build, as he instead sends his underlings to pick off the weakened enemies. Ardent Sacrifice is a rudimentary heal, Chill Atk or Res is a debuff and so benefit the rest of his team as well, and Odd Wave skills work similarly but as buffs. His decent base defenses and choice of either a Def or Res boosting Brazen skill let him tank a hit or two with reasonable potential to avoid doubles. Don't think of him exclusively as an offensive or supportive unit, and instead of use him as either depending on how the match plays out.

Leif is here, meaning that all the lords from their respective Fire Emblem game are here (not counting BS FE or Warriors). If you like Leif and you are willing to make some sacrifices for him, then this guide MAY be for you.

First things first, his signature weapon deals +7 damage when his enemy's Defense is greater or equal to their Resistance + 5. That means that if the enemy has, say, 30 defense and 25 or less Resistance, Leif will make +7 extra damage. That's why I chose, oddly enough, to choose Chill Res 3 of all things. Of course, you can run better B skills like Chill Def 3, Chill Spd 3, breaker skills, or his default S Drink.

Then he goes with Distant Counter set. No need to explain as to why. If you don't have a spare Hector, you can always use a B!Ike for Steady Breathe.

As we are not going to use in our first build any B skills that requires HP penalty on him, you can have him inherit Aether for arena points, and Heavy Blade or Distant Defense sacred seals to let him cooldown his special. That means that is, if we are lucky enough, Aether should be ready by the end of the combat, so then he can be buffed by a dance like PA!Azura and finish the enemy. Or run Bonfire/Draconic Aura/Luna so that he can activate it the 2nd time he attacks, regardless of phase.

On his C skill you can vary it like you want. Is it necessary for him to help your team? If you answer is yes, then inherit him any kind of Hone, Fortify, Spur or Drive skills.

As long as you keep him outside of blue mages, dragons and lances, you will be alright with him.

Bunny Lucina makes up for her terrible Atk stat with her staggeringly high Adorableness stat. Sadly, this doesn't let her hit any harder, so it has to be patched up in other ways.

【 Weapon 】

  • Speed Plus W.png Juicy Wave+ is an expensive sacrifice, as it's on another seasonal unit (Summer Camilla, specifically) but it works well here and is a worthy investment. As Juicy Wave+ has the same effect as Desperation 3, it frees up Lucina's B Slot for a different skill.
  • Icon Class Blue Tome.png Blárblade+ is always an option. It's even a good one. However, the point of this build was to avoid the tried-and-true-but-very-boring use of Blárblade+ and to see if Lucina could be viable without it. It's also much more difficult to buff an Infantry unit to the heights that other movement types manage with their movement-specific Hone/Fortify buffs, and Lucina will lose 3 HP and 2 Spd with this tome, as it cannot be refined.

【 Assist 】

  • Icon Skill Assist.png Ardent Sacrifice is her best Assist skill, as it immediately takes her down to Desperation and Brazen range with the bonus of healing an ally for 10HP.
  • Icon Skill Assist.png Draw Back is a good option if you'd prefer a Movement Assist; it can help her drag her allies out of danger without leaving herself in the line of fire.
  • Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition also moves allies, but it could leave her open to a melee attack.

【 Special 】

  • Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is her best choice of Special due to its low cooldown and universal applicability. Lucina is very reliant on her Special (and her Brazens) to deal significant damage, so she wants it to fire off as much as possible.

【 A Skill 】

  • Brazen Atk Spd 3.png Brazen Atk/Spd 3 is the most synergistic option available. Dropping her health by 10 HP will be enough to activate both Brazen skills and Juicy Wave+'s Desperation effect, which will grant Lucina +14 Atk/+14 Spd on both phases and the ability to strike twice consecutively on Player Phase.
  • Swift Sparrow 2.png Swift Sparrow 2 comes with her base kit and is perfectly serviceable, but it only works on Player Phase and Lucina desperately needs the extra +3 boost to her Atk and Spd stats that Brazen gives over Swift Sparrow. You're already dropping her health to activate her weapon and her Sacred Seal, so while Swift Sparrow will work, Brazen is a much better choice for her A Skill.

【 B Skill 】

  • Chill Res 3.png Chill Res 3 will give Lucina a much-needed boost to the damage she deals to whichever foe is affected by the -7 Res penalty.
  • Desperation 3.png Desperation 3 is a necessity if any tome besides Juicy Wave+ is being used. It will allow Lucina to strike twice consecutively once her HP has dropped by 10, hopefully avoiding enemy response entirely (because the enemy will be dead).
  • Vantage 3.png Vantage 3 is an option, if only because being in the right HP range for Desperation also puts her in Vantage range. This is more of a gamble/sacrifice play; while Lucina likely won't have the power to KO an attacking foe in a single preemptive strike, she will at least be able to damage them before going down, allowing her teammates to mop up after she's fallen. This skill does make her unsuitable for modes that require four surviving allies, however.

【 C Skill 】

  • Even Atk Wave 3.png Even Atk Wave 3 is a great choice of C Skill for her, because Lucina wants all the boosts to her Atk that she can get. Even Atk Wave is even available rather cheap, available on 4★ Fallen Delthea. Otherwise, this is a flexible slot depending on team composition.

【 Sacred Seal 】

  • Brazen Atk Spd 3.png Brazen Atk/Spd 3 because Lucina needs to stack Brazens to have a threatening offensive presence, and she wants lots of Spd to ensure that Desperation is useful.

This Morgan is high investment with high returns, but she's best placed in a Flying team, because she desperately needs the stat boosts from the Hone/Fortify skills to both make her viable and power up her weapon.

Morgan's base stats are 50/30/12/33, which are less than ideal for Heavy Blade activation (or anything at all, really). However, when she receives the Hone/Fortify buffs plus Mirror Impact's boost on initiation, her stats reach 62/36/18/49 –- much more impressive. This can be boosted further with Goad Fliers and/or Ward Fliers support.

With all these boosts, she can easily activate Heavy Blade and proc Iceberg in short order – and with 62 Atk and 49 Res along with a glut of bonuses for her Blárblade+, she’s going to be the definition of overkill. Let's break it down:

【 Weapon 】

  • Icon Class Blue Tome.png Blárblade+ makes this yet another Bladetome build. It's boring, but it works. Stack those buffs and watch the enemies fall.

【 Assist 】

  • Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
  • Icon Skill Assist.png Swap is a good alternative if that fits your play style better.

【 Special 】

  • Icon Skill Special.png Iceberg is chosen because the cooldown of any Special will already be increased by 1 due to wielding Blárblade+, and because Glacies would likely be overkill in most cases anyway.
  • Icon Skill Special.png Glimmer is often used with Bladetome builds due to its low cooldown and reliance on high damage to scale; however, it's outshone here due to Morgan's high Res stat and the Res+10 boost she'll get from her A Skill. Regardless, it is a valid option, though it causes Mirror Impact to lose some of its value.

【 A Skill 】

  • Mirror Impact.png Mirror Impact is definitely an expensive skill; at the time of this writing, it's newly (and only) available on a seasonal unit, namely SR!Laevatein. However, Morgan makes great use of it on this set. It grants Atk+6/Res+10 upon unit initiation -- not only granting a boost to her raw damage output with her attack stat, but also boosting the damage of Iceberg when it fires off. It also prevents enemies from making a follow up attack, which is invaluable considering Morgan's middling-to-low Spd.
  • Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 is a much cheaper option, but it doesn't boost her Res (and therefore has no effect on her Special damage) nor does it prevent her opponent from making a follow up.
  • Mirror Strike 2.png Mirror Strike 2 is Mirror Impact's precursor. It's not nearly as good -- offers Atk/Res+4 on initiation with no cancellation of foe's follow up -- but it'll serve in a pinch.

【 B Skill 】

  • Chill Res 3.png Chill Res 3 is what I use on my Morgan, but her B Skill depends on your team composition. While Morgan definitely benefits from docking points from an enemy's Res to help her inflict as much damage as possible, if the rest of her allies deal physical damage, then the team as a whole might be better off with a different skill.
  • Guard 3.png Guard 3 is very useful and comes packaged with her, so there's no reason not to use it if Chill Res isn't working for your team.
  • Flier Formation 3.png Flier Formation 3 might be a good option to allow Morgan to swoop in unexpectedly to take out a foe.

【 C Skill 】

【 Sacred Seal 】

  • Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 is the only real choice here. Because of the Atk boosts from Hone Fliers and Mirror Impact, Morgan will usually be able to negate the cooldown penalty from her Blárblade+ and fire off deadly Icebergs relatively quickly.
