Alm's potential is truly brought out with a little help from friends: Walhart's Chill Def 3 and Brave Celica's Death Blow 4 give him the best damage output of any sword user. I don't need to tell you how good Double Lion is, so let's get into doing the single highest amount of damage possible.

First, the special. You've got two options here: With Glimmer and Heavy Blade 3, Alm can ensure that his second, guaranteed, consecutive strike does 1.5x damage. This makes him a better nuke, but since he can get 4 charge off of Galeforce just from attacking once like this, that's also a viable option, and with healing and team support, can let him use Double Lion twice in one turn. The choice is yours.

Second, the B Skill. We can skip the A, as there's only one option you want there. Chill Def ensures Alm's always striking as hard as possible, getting around the defense of everything but the bulkiest of lances like Lukas. Cancel Affinity, while providing less general utility, can turn some of Alm's hardest counters into easy targets if they have Triangle Adept, ensuring every unit takes the full brunt of damage from him.

Finally, his C Skill. Honestly, this is the most flexible. Atk Smoke is what I'd recommend, as it helps keep him from being destroyed on enemy phase if your positioning is off. Other options like Infantry Pulse to go with his high HP also work, but this is the least important part of the setup, and up to you.

Alm does best when exclusively used on player phase. He can delete any enemy he faces, but needs team support with skills like Reposition and Drag Back to make sure he doesn't leave himself open to hits. He can be tricky to pull off, but devastating when the pieces are set up right.

This build is very similar to the Brave Sword+ build, but it requires a bit of patience and support to truly thrive. The aim is to use Special Spiral so that the Black Knight can launch Black Luna every turn.

Weapon: Attack Plus W.png Slaying Edge+ is the Black Knight's weapon of choice. This is chosen to help bring his Black Luna's charge down to 2, letting him activate it in any round of combat, provided his Special charges aren't being deterred.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap or Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot work as the Black Knight's Assists. Either one will work, as they do the job of helping the Black Knight move around, so just use whichever is preferred.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special. When it activates, it'll pierce through almost all of the opponent's Def, letting the Black Knight annihilate his victim.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is the Black Knight's A skill. Given that this build is player phase oriented, this skill will grant an immense +8 Atk when initiating, which will help him obliterate his foe.

B Passive: Special Spiral 3.png Special Spiral 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. Once his Special activates, this skill will grant him two Special charges after combat, meaning Black Luna will be ready again. This means he can continue to spam it without remorse, unleashing havoc on anyone he comes across. It should be noted that, once this skill gets going, the Black Knight will have no trouble against opponents who deter Special charges thanks to this skill's effect.

C Passive: Armor March 3.png Armor March 3 is an option for the Black Knight to help him and his armored allows move around better. It'll also help him reach his foes, as he will have to rely on walking up to them to smash their face in. However, as long as the player has a way to help the Black Knight reach his foes, then this skill slot is ultimately flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is the Black Knight's Seal. It is necessary for this set to help bring Black Luna's charge down to 1. He can then proceed to tank a single hit and retaliate with Black Luna. However, this build would very much appreciate the support of Legendary Hector for his Ostian Pulse to help charge Black Luna at the start of the map so the Black Knight can start spamming it without remorse.

The aim of this build is to give the Black Knight a nearly unstoppable player phase presence through the use of Bold Fighter and a different weapon. Like other builds, the end goal is to fire off Black Luna immediately, leaving his opponents thunderstruck.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Brave Sword+ is the Black Knight's main weapon here. He can strike consecutively with it, and with Bold Fighter, he can quadruple strike anyone he comes across, should his first two strikes not be enough. With Quickened Pulse, he can potentially activate Black Luna twice in that round of combat.

Given that this build is player phase oriented, this skill will grant an immense +8 Atk when he initiates combat, which will help him obliterate his foe.

B Passive: Bold Fighter 3.png Bold Fighter 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. This is what gives him such a monstrous player phase presence as it will allow him to perform a follow up attack as long as he initiates combat. He'll also gain an extra Special charge for each of his strikes, letting him activate Black Luna much sooner.

It is necessary for this set to help bring Black Luna's charge down so that he can fire it off more quickly during combat, like on the second consecutive strike with his Brave Sword+.

Celica received another variant, once again wielding a sword, and with a bunch of new tools at her disposal. This set is meant for players who wish to use Celica right out of the gate.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Royal Sword is Celica's weapon of choice. It grants her +3 Spd, and as long as she's near an ally, her attacks grant her an extra Special charge, allowing her to fire it off much sooner.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Galeforce is an option for Celica's Special. She can potentially activate this really quickly thanks to her weapon and B skill, giving her an extra turn, which she can then use to either retreat or slay another foe. As for other options, fast charging Specials like Icon Skill Special.png Glimmer or Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow work just as well, with the former helping her do more damage and the latter helping her break through tougher foes.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is Celica's A skill. It grants her an impressive +8 Atk when initiating combat, which is perfect, as she'll only want to initiate combat most of the time anyway.

B Passive: Double Lion.png Double Lion is Celica's B skill. When she's at full health, she will strike twice consecutively, just as if she was wielding a Brave Sword+. After combat, she'll suffer 1 HP of damage, knocking her out of this effect. If Celica wants to use Double Lion throughout the map, she needs some form of healing, either through her Special or through the support of an ally. This effect is incredibly powerful, as Celica also has very good Spd, allowing her to potentially perform quadruple strikes against her opponents if they are slow enough.

C Passive: Atk Tactic 3.png Atk Tactic 3 is an option for Celica's C skill. It grants +6 Atk to all nearby allies as long as the team composition requirements are met, namely that there cannot be more than two of a movement type on the team. However, this skill slot is flexible, depending on player preference.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is an option for Celica's Seal if she's using Galeforce as her Special, as this all but guarantees that she activates it in the first round of combat. However, this skill slot is pretty flexible, open to be any other Seal that the player needs.

With Celica's high Spd, she can utilize a Firesweep Sword+ pretty well, which also pairs perfectly with her Double Lion skill.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Firesweep S+ is Celica's weapon of choice. It denies the opponent and the user from counterattacking, making it a purely player phase weapon. While this means Celica has no enemy phase presence at all, it makes her player phase presence much more formidable.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is Celica's Special. It pierces through her foe's Def, helping her break through sturdier opponents. With her B skill, Seal, and enough Spd, she can potentially activate this twice in her first round of combat, which is all but certain to destroy her foe.

Sacred Seal: Flashing Blade 3.png Flashing Blade 3 is Celica's Seal. If she outspeeds her foe, she can get an extra Special charge with her attacks. This means that Celica should be able to strike once and charge her Special immediately, activating it on the second strike. With Double Lion, she can potentially perform a quadruple strike, and the process repeats: she'll strike again, and then her final strike will have Moonbow charged.

The goal of this set is to maximize the damage she inflicts on initiation at full health. Celica may end up at really low (or zero) HP after attacking a sturdy blue tank, but that tank will also likely be dented or even obliterated in the process if she has some attack buffs and lands all four possible hits.

Weapon: The power of Celica's special skills can be increased without raising special cooldown through the damage bonus of Icon Class Red Sword.png Wo Dao+ or cooldown reduction of Icon Class Red Sword.png Slaying Edge+. That both options are refinable allows Celica to use a speed refine to match the speed boost of Icon Class Red Sword.png Royal Sword while also gaining a useful HP boost that can help her take some strong blue hits and still survive to complete her nuking role. There is a slight drop in attack in either option, but the potential special damage boosts more than offset this.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is the preferred movement assist for many infantry units, and Celica is no exception. That being said, a mixed Rally skill could synergize with certain Tactic passives, and other assists may be chosen to suit team needs; thus, the choice of assist is flexible.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is paired with Icon Class Red Sword.png Wo Dao+ to really add to the punch of firing off two quick specials in a single initiation under the effects of Double Lion.png Double Lion. Similarily, Icon Skill Special.png Draconic Aura can be paired with Icon Class Red Sword.png Slaying Edge+ to achieve comparable amounts of additional damage thanks to Celica's high attack stat when initiating combat. Either way, the extra power granted by either skill pair helps Celica slice her way past bulky blues a bit more easily.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 yields maximal damage in the case that that Celica is already fast enough to quad her foe under Double Lion.png Double Lion, while Swift Sparrow 2.png Swift Sparrow 2 allows her to quad some faster units without cutting into her ability to tank an enemy hit and complete her quadruple strike.

B Passive: The signature Double Lion.png Double Lion skill gives Celica a distinct niche among other fast swordsfolk by allowing her to situationally attack twice in combat without any stat penalty and with any choice of weapon. As such, this skill is the go-to B passive for this set.

C Passive: Celica's default Atk Tactic 3.png Atk Tactic 3 is a great supportive skill for mixed emblem teams, but other C passives can also be used flexibly depending on the needs of the rest of the team. Odd Atk Wave 3.png Odd Atk Wave 3 and Even Spd Wave 3.png Even Spd Wave 3 are notably self-buffing skills that can be utilized strategically to make her even more effective at a nuking role.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 and Flashing Blade 3.png Flashing Blade 3 are well suited for this special-reliant set, as Celica can activate two strong special skills in a single round of combat via Double Lion.png Double Lion more consistently whenever she is able to attain a higher attack or speed stat than those of her foe, respectively. Arguably, Flashing Blade 3.png Flashing Blade 3 may be slightly more useful to this set since it is reliant on making quad initiations very destructive.

Weapon: Because Double Lion.png Double Lion occupies her B skill slot, Celica can't default to running Desperation 3.png Desperation 3 to circumvent powerful counterattacks (as most player phase units do)---meaning Icon Class Red Sword.png Firesweep S+ is the perfect choice of sword. With it, her player phase potential is absurd, allowing her to delete a staggering percentage of the roster unhindered.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is the go-to assist for most infantry and is likely Brave Celica's best option.

Special: With either blade seal in effect, Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow, as a two charge special, will proc with or without Double Lion.png Double Lion in effect. With Double Lion.png Double Lion's effect, she can proc her special twice if her target survives three hits, increasing the odds of her being able to take out bulky blue units in one round.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is the most uncreative bit of powercreep ever and also a fantastic A skill to have in any player phase unit's base kit!

B Passive: Double Lion.png Double Lion is what makes Celica a good unit, allowing her to quad without jumping through the hoops of running a brave weapon and compensating for their innate speed penalty.

C Passive: C slots will almost always be flexible. However, Atk Tactic 3.png Atk Tactic 3 is a fantastic C skill to have in one's base kit, so if Celica is being used in a team with varying movement types, it will likely be worth keeping.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 or Flashing Blade 3.png Flashing Blade 3 are the ideal seal choices to augment her damage potential, increasing the rate at which she lowers her special's cooldown if her attack or speed are higher than her target's.

Panic Ploy W.png Cherche's Axe (Skill)
Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition / Flexible
Stats: +Atk/-Spd
Click to show/hide build description
Cherche's personal weapon plays directly into her previous best set utilizing Icon Class Green Axe.png Brave Axe+. Given Cherche's extremely high attack she can initiate and kill most enemies in the game. Both her new personal weapon and the introduction of Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 allows Cherche to gain even more power while also allowing her to score extremely well in Arena.

Boon/Bane Cherche's best boon and bane set is +Atk and -Spd to maximize her personal weapon's power while dumping her worst and least consequential stat.

Weapon Her personal weapon Icon Class Green Axe.png Cherche's Axe is simply a Icon Class Green Axe.png Brave Axe+ with 3 more MT. Her Special refine gives Panic Ploy 3.png Panic Ploy 3, which is an overall excellent skill that was generally worth the C slot, but now is just free. Along with Cherche's pretty good HP she is able to panic everyone except the other highest HP melee infantry and armor units. If you have no need to Panic Ploy, then +Atk works, just to squeeze out a little more damage.

Assist Like other fliers, Cherche does best with Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition, though whatever assist you want (such as a dual rally for score) also works well.

Special A two charge special like Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow allows Cherche to activate it during each combat when combined with the Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 seal. This allows Cherche to win some matchups she otherwise may not be able to. Alternately, Icon Skill Special.png Galeforce allows for Cherche to freely move again after her second combat, allowing for greater movement capabilities. This scores well and because she already hits so hard, only affects some ultra defense neutral matchups or triangle disadvantage matchups.

A Skill Given Cherche's insane player phase potential, Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 becomes the obvious choice both to maximize her damage in addition to maximizing her score.

B Skill If one wants to squeeze out wins against the tankiest units and maximize her SP, Chill Def 3.png Chill Def 3 is perfect for her, severely hampering the tankiest unit on the enemy team. Without Weapon Triangle Advantage Chill Def gives Cherche +14 damage. Alternately, Hit and Run.png Hit and Run provides Cherche with a mechanism to escape combat after initiating.

C Skill Guidance 3.png Guidance 3 gives Cherche good support capabilities for a mixed emblem tea, allowing for better movement options. Alternately, other skils such as Flier Guidance 3.png Flier Guidance 3 or other buffs work well.

Sacred Seal Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 allows Cherche to almost always get an extra charge during each attack, due to her extremely high attack. This lets her very quickly fire off special abilities.

Alternately, if you want more support skills such as Guidance 3.png Guidance 3 are good seal slots.

Sporting incredible 35/35 offensive stats, Bridal Cordelia is a force to be reckoned with. With a Brave Bow equipped, she becomes a very scary glass cannon capable of taking out the majority of the Fire Emblem Heroes roster. However, in typical glass cannon fashion, the tradeoff for her excellent attack and speed is that her defensive stats are very low which means the Perfect Bride can't get initiated on without getting seriously hurt or knocked out.

This set utilizes the Icon Skill Weapon.png Brave Bow+ and the rest of this skillset is aimed at maximizing the damage from Brave Bow. Due to Brave Bow's effect, any boosts to the Attack stat are effectively doubled. As such, the preferred boon for this build is +Atk, and the A slot of choice is Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4. Additionally, the Attack Plus 3.png Attack +3 seal is run in the seal slot. For the B slot, the ever important Chill Def 3.png Chill Def 3 is used to soften the defensive walls that can shrug off Cordelia's damage and one-shot her on the counter.

Icon Skill Special.png Luna is run as the special, as it allows Cordelia to strike down tanks much easier. Alternatively, if the Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse seal is available, she can run Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow in conjunction with the aforementioned Quickened Pulse seal to secure some KO's on units that are not quad attacked by Cordelia.

In the assist slot, either Icon Skill Assist.png Draw Back or Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition can be used for the essential mobility that they give.

Legendary Ephraim is a bit of an unorthodox unit, encouraging a rather reckless playstyle. This build is geared to be a player phase melee duelist, and as long as Ephraim can activate his weapon's effect, he'll be able to duel with many opponents and come out on top. After all, he doesn't pick fights he can't win.

Weapon: Icon Class Blue Lance.png Flame Siegmund is Ephraim's weapon of choice. It grants an Atk boost, boosting his already high Atk stat even higher, and it allows him to perform a follow up attack if there are more enemies near him than there are allies. While this does mean his positioning and his ally positioning is even more important, the pay off means that Ephraim can exchange blows and double his foes, making up for his rather below average Spd.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger. Cavalry units put it to great use with their high Mov.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Luna is Ephraim's Special, which helps him break through sturdier opponents. His Heavy Blade Seal will help activate it on his second strike as long as blows were exchanged and nothing deterred Ephraim's Special charge. Should Ephraim use Desperation as his B skill, then Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow can work as his Special instead, giving up extra power for a faster charge. Icon Skill Special.png Galeforce is another very viable option. Ephraim's high Atk and high Mov means he'll able to activate Galeforce pretty quickly. With his extra turn, he can either choose engage against another enemy, or he could return to the safety of his allies.

A Passive: Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 is a solid choice for Ephraim's A skill, granting him a +6 Atk buff when initiating combat. This will heighten Ephraim's Atk even further, which will help him overwhelm and overpower his opponents. Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 however, should it be available to the player, is the superior option, giving +8 Atk instead. Alternatively, Atk Def Solo 3.png Atk/Def Solo 3 grants +6 Atk like Death Blow, but also +6 Def, and it works on either phase. All it requires is for Ephraim to not be next to an ally, but he's designed to be away from his allies anyway.

B Passive: Guard 3.png Guard 3 is Ephraim's B skill, chosen to deter enemies from charging their Specials. In the heat of combat, he'll be exchanging blows with his foes, so this will be necessary to avoid being hit by an enemy Special during this time. Another option for Ephraim's B skill is Desperation 3.png Desperation 3, should Ephraim want to go more on the offensive. After Ephraim's taken some damage, this skill will allow his follow ups to occur consecutively, which can help him aim to defeat his foes before they can even counter.

C Passive: Atk Smoke 3.png Atk Smoke 3 is an option for Ephraim's C skill. After he engages an opponent and destroys them, any nearby foe will suffer -7 Atk. This can make Heavy Blade 3 easier to activate, it can help mitigate some damage Ephraim may take on the enemy phase, like if he has to exchange blows. However, this skill slot is kind of flexible. Ephraim will have to be on his own, so buffing skills might not be the best choice for him, but it's still an option if he can buff his allies before riding into battle while they take care of business elsewhere. Other Smoke skills can work excellently with Ephraim however. Def Smoke 3 can help weaken nearby foes for him to break through, while Spd Smoke 3 may potentially save him from being doubled.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 is necessary for this build to charge Ephraim's Specials much faster, letting him activate them in that round of combat. He should have no problem activating it thanks to his high Atk stat.

Other builds using this skill
