- Penalties are neutralized by granting temporary buffs of the same amount during combat.

Upgrades[ | ]
Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference decides instead (including effects that alter this difference).
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the guaranteed follow-up attack granted by refined Eagle's Egg.
- 【Canto (1)】 will not trigger after an extra action granted by Sing/Dance users or Duo/ Harmonized skills if it has already been triggered that turn or if the unit does not perform an action.
- If the unit uses a ranged weapon type and is inflicted with Canto Control, 【Canto (1)】 will trigger, but the unit's action will end without being able to move.
- 【Canto (1)】 takes into account the unit's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a Cavalry unit cannot use 【Canto (1)】 to enter or cross through a forest.
- 【Canto (1)】 also takes into account effects that alter a unit's normal movement such as Pass 3, Obstruct 3, Traverse Terrain, 【Divine Vein (Flame)】, and 【Pathfinder】.
- 【Canto (1)】 also takes into account warping effects such as Guidance 4 and Air Orders. However, the distance is limited to the maximum amount of spaces allotted by 【Canto (1)】.
- The movement granted by 【Canto (1)】 is unaffected by status effects that alter a unit's movement value such as Stall, Gravity, and Mobility increased.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Eagle's Egg is considered a penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit, including penalties, lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the penalty for their first action.
- If the unit also has Grand Strategy, any penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit, including penalties, lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the penalty for their first action.
- Eagle's Egg applies the Exposure status effect.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the status effect for their first action.
- The damage boosting effect is a fixed +10 that ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage reduction effects such as Armored Beacon, Dragon Wall 3, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Eagle's Egg can prevent the foe from counterattacking.
- A foe with skills such as Null C-Disrupt 4 or Brilliant Starlight will be able to counterattack.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4 will only be able to counterattack against Staff units.
- A foe with Ice-Bound Brand, Nifl's Bite, or Holy Yule Blade will only be able to counterattack against ranged units.
- The foe cannot counterattack effect of Eagle's Egg will activate if the foe receives a 【Penalty】.
- The foe cannot counterattack effect will not be negated if the foe receives a 【Bonus】.
- If the foe does not receive a 【Penalty】, or has their 【Penalty】 removed by a source of negative status effect neutralization, the foe cannot counterattack effect will be negated.
