Thanks to Marth's heroic effort, the battle against Dolhr comes to a close. The people begin rebuilding their desolated homeland. As Marth's wedding day approaches, a message reaches him: "Suppress the Grustian rebellion." Though he has both questions and doubts, Marth begins to gather his troops...

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem is the third game in the Fire Emblem series. It is currently listed second in the Catalog of Heroes and when sorting heroes by Origin, after Fire Emblem Heroes, and with heroes from Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem mixed in. Many of its characters first appeared in the first game in the series, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, but only one (Wrys) is listed under that game, as he does not appear in Mystery of the Emblem.

The world of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem is referred to as "World of Mystery".
