Against the Black Knight

The Black Knight is a master swordsman and a formidable duelist, as he has all the tools to properly fight on either phase and fire off his immensely powerful Black Luna Special.

Weapon: Attack Plus W.png Slaying Edge+ is the Black Knight's weapon of choice. This is chosen to help bring his Black Luna's charge down to 2, letting him activate it in any round of combat, provided his Special charges aren't being deterred.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot is a good Assist for any armour, letting the user jump ahead of an ally, helping them keep up with them as armours have poor movement. Icon Skill Assist.png Swap is another acceptable option that simply switches the user and an ally around, which works better in tighter spaces.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special. It allows him to pierce through 80% of an opponent's defense when it activates, ensuring that almost nothing will survive his onslaught.

A Passive: Distant Counter.png Distant Counter is the best choice for the Black Knight's A skill. This is necessary so that he isn't helpless against ranged foes, being able to threaten and destroy them as well. When paired with Quick Riposte he'll be able to activate Black Luna on the enemy phase very easily.

B Passive: Bold Fighter 3.png Bold Fighter 3 is a fantastic choice for the Black Knight's B skill, as it's what gives him a fearsome player phase presence. If the Black Knight initiates combat, then his attacks will gain an extra Special charge. If he exchanges blows with his opponent, then the Black Knight's second strike will be able to fire off Black Luna.

C Passive: Ward Armor.png Ward Armor is an option for the Black Knight to help bolster the defenses of his armored allies. However, this skill slot is pretty flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is the Black Knight's Sacred Seal. While Bold Fighter strengthens the Black Knight's player phase presence, this Seal will help improve his enemy phase presence by letting him perform a follow up attack if he's attacked above 70% HP. He should be mindful of the HP threshold, but as long as the Black Knight can tank the hits that come his way, his opponents will have to think twice before engaging him.

This build's goal is to give the Black Knight a menacing enemy phase presence, as when he's given the right tools, his foes will have to tread carefully if they even think about engaging the Black Knight.

Weapon: Speed Plus W.png Slaying Edge+ is the Black Knight's weapon of choice. This is chosen to help bring his Black Luna's charge down to 2, letting him activate it in any round of combat, provided his Special charges aren't being deterred.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap can be used as the Black Knight's Assist. This will help him switch places with an ally, while Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot could be used to help the Black Knight move ahead of an ally. This comes down to player preference, as both do the job of improving mobility.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special of choice. It's unique to him, and has a high defense piercing effect. With it, he can break through even the toughest of opponents.

A Passive: Distant Counter.png Distant Counter is the best choice for the Black Knight's A skill. This is necessary so that he isn't helpless against ranged foes, being able to threaten and destroy them as well. When paired with Quick Riposte, he'll be able to activate Black Luna on the enemy phase very easily.

B Passive: Special Fighter 3.png Special Fighter 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. This allows him to charge his Special very quickly while also deterring the opponent's Special at the same time. While this build is geared for the enemy phase, this skill will also help charge the Black Knight's Special on the player phase as well, should he able to outspeed a slower foe.

C Passive: Ward Armor.png Ward Armor is an option for the Black Knight to help bolster the defenses of his armored allies. However, this skill slot is pretty flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is the Black Knight's Sacred Seal, chosen to ensure that the Black Knight will perform a follow up attack when he's attacked and that his second strike will fire off Black Luna.

Much like the Sinister General build, this is another enemy phase oriented set, but it aims to use Wrath to strengthen Black Luna to even greater heights.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Alondite is his weapon of choice, which lets him counterattack against almost any foe, regardless of distance. Not even mages and most archers will be safe from the Black Knight's wrath.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap or Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot work as the Black Knight's Assists. Either one will work, as they do the job of helping the Black Knight move around, so just use whichever is preferred.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special. It can pierce through most of an opponent's Def, allowing the Black Knight to do considerable damage to many opponents, which can even be further improved with Wrath. With Steady Breath, Wrath, and Quickened Pulse, the Black Knight just has to get hit once and he will respond to his opponent with this Special already charged.

A Passive: Steady Breath.png Steady Breath is the only A skill that the Black Knight needs for this set. It grants him a defensive boost when attacked, as well as the extra Special charge he needs to retaliate with Black Luna.

B Passive: Wrath 3.png Wrath 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. This skill can add +10 damage when the user's Special activates, provided that the user was damaged sufficiently enough. Ideally, the Black Knight would take enough damage to activate Wrath's effect, activate Black Luna with this heightened power, and annihilate his attacker. Afterwards, Wrath will help the Black Knight charge up Black Luna again.

C Passive: Armor March 3.png Armor March 3 is an option for the Black Knight to help him and his armored allows move around better, although this skill slot is ultimately flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is the Black Knight's Seal. It is necessary for this set to help bring Black Luna's charge down so that he can fire it off immediately upon being attacked.

The aim of this build is to give the Black Knight a nearly unstoppable player phase presence through the use of Bold Fighter and a different weapon. Like other builds, the end goal is to fire off Black Luna immediately, leaving his opponents thunderstruck.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Brave Sword+ is the Black Knight's main weapon here. He can strike consecutively with it, and with Bold Fighter, he can quadruple strike anyone he comes across, should his first two strikes not be enough. With Quickened Pulse, he can potentially activate Black Luna twice in that round of combat.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap or Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot work as the Black Knight's Assists. Either one will work, as they do the job of helping the Black Knight move around, so just use whichever is preferred.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special. When it activates, it'll pierce through almost all of the opponent's Def, letting the Black Knight annihilate his victim.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is the Black Knight's A skill. Given that this build is player phase oriented, this skill will grant an immense +8 Atk when he initiates combat, which will help him obliterate his foe.

B Passive: Bold Fighter 3.png Bold Fighter 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. This is what gives him such a monstrous player phase presence as it will allow him to perform a follow up attack as long as he initiates combat. He'll also gain an extra Special charge for each of his strikes, letting him activate Black Luna much sooner.

C Passive: Armor March 3.png Armor March 3 is an option for the Black Knight to help him and his armored allows move around better. It'll also help him reach his foes, as he will have to rely on walking up to them to smash their face in. However, as long as the player has a way to help the Black Knight reach his foes, then this skill slot is ultimately flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is the Black Knight's Seal. It is necessary for this set to help bring Black Luna's charge down so that he can fire it off more quickly during combat, like on the second consecutive strike with his Brave Sword+.

This build is very similar to the Brave Sword+ build, but it requires a bit of patience and support to truly thrive. The aim is to use Special Spiral so that the Black Knight can launch Black Luna every turn.

Weapon: Attack Plus W.png Slaying Edge+ is the Black Knight's weapon of choice. This is chosen to help bring his Black Luna's charge down to 2, letting him activate it in any round of combat, provided his Special charges aren't being deterred.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap or Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot work as the Black Knight's Assists. Either one will work, as they do the job of helping the Black Knight move around, so just use whichever is preferred.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special. When it activates, it'll pierce through almost all of the opponent's Def, letting the Black Knight annihilate his victim.

A Passive: Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is the Black Knight's A skill. Given that this build is player phase oriented, this skill will grant an immense +8 Atk when initiating, which will help him obliterate his foe.

B Passive: Special Spiral 3.png Special Spiral 3 is the Black Knight's B skill. Once his Special activates, this skill will grant him two Special charges after combat, meaning Black Luna will be ready again. This means he can continue to spam it without remorse, unleashing havoc on anyone he comes across. It should be noted that, once this skill gets going, the Black Knight will have no trouble against opponents who deter Special charges thanks to this skill's effect.

C Passive: Armor March 3.png Armor March 3 is an option for the Black Knight to help him and his armored allows move around better. It'll also help him reach his foes, as he will have to rely on walking up to them to smash their face in. However, as long as the player has a way to help the Black Knight reach his foes, then this skill slot is ultimately flexible, as other armor buffs or other skills can be used, depending on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is the Black Knight's Seal. It is necessary for this set to help bring Black Luna's charge down to 1. He can then proceed to tank a single hit and retaliate with Black Luna. However, this build would very much appreciate the support of Legendary Hector for his Ostian Pulse to help charge Black Luna at the start of the map so the Black Knight can start spamming it without remorse.

This build is for players who wish to use the Black Knight right away without having to seek out more elusive skills.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Alondite is the only weapon the Black Knight needs, since it ensures that he will be able to retaliate against any opponent regardless of distance.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap or Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot both work as the Black Knight's Assists, assisting in his mobility, and using either is a matter of preference.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Black Luna is the Black Knight's Special, chosen for its amazing defense piercing effect, letting him break through his foes easily.

A Passive: Steady Stance 3.png Steady Stance 3 is a great option for the Black Knight's A skill. He comes with it naturally, and it grants him a Def boost to help him withstand physical blows. Other skills could be considered if the player has them, like Fury 3.png Fury 3 to bolster all of the Black Knight's stats, though this comes at the cost of some HP.

B Passive: Quick Riposte 2.png Quick Riposte 2 works just fine as the Black Knight's B skill, letting him retaliate twice against any attacker, which strengthens his enemy phase presence.

C Passive: Ward Armor.png Ward Armor can work as the Black Knight's C skill should he be used on an armor team, as he can help mitigate the damage his teammates take. This skill slot is flexible however, and can be whatever the player needs depending on team composition and preference.

Sacred Seal: Armored Boots.png Armored Boots are a great option for the Black Knight to help him move around more easily, especially if the player uses him on a mixed team or if Armor March 3 is not available. However, his Seal are flexible, open to be whatever the player needs. Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 and Distant Def 3.png Distant Def 3 are also very viable options to help strengthen the Black Knight's defenses.

Black Knights win condition is getting black luna so if he gets it a lot he wins a lot i guess. Atk/Spd Bond is to make up for what he lost in damage by switching to slaying edge. This build is very good at dealing with most of the hectors.
