At some point I faced the Cordelia of the story in extreme mode (in Sounds of the Ocean) and to my surprise his skill Dull Close 3.png Dull Close 3 practically destroyed the strategy of my team of cavalry which consists of buffs, was entnoces when I could see the tremendous potential that this version of Cordelia could have.

Its maximum potential can be appreciated in a cavalry team, as it is a melee combatant uploading its defense may be a good idea but its potential would be partially wasted, because not only can it be a great combat melee, but it can also attack without fear of a powerful counter-attack and at the same time destroying the enemy's possible defenses, thanks to his ability Dull Close 3.png Dull Close 3. For this reason I decided that instead of wanting a self-sufficient defensive tank, it would be better to have a front cleaner that worked synergistically on a cavalry team, for this you can neglect her defense a little and prioritize her attack and speed, so that it works better with Icon Skill Special.png Galeforce and Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3, at the same time that she can be blessed of the cavalry's boost abilities, such as Hone Cavalry.png Hone Cavalry, Fortify Cavalry.png Fortify Cavalry, Goad Cavalry.png Goad Cavalry, Ward Cavalry.png Ward Cavalry in addition to the skills of normal reinforcements that can be equipped as sacred seals, creating a powerful Cordelia (and cavaleriy team).

The biggest negative point of this Cordelia is that it is partly a waste not to take advantage of it as a defensive tank, and to partially disregard its defense, which for obvious reasons is not optimal for front-end cleaners.

Bruiser Cordelia
Defense Plus W.png Shell Lance+ (Def)
Stats: +Spd,+Atk/-Res

Aho. This build makes use of Cordelia's hp and defense to turn her into a powerful cavalry bruiser. This build's focus is making her strong, fast, and tanky(Except to green mages). Getting a +Spd,-Res would be best as it would allow her to hit over 40 Spd while not making much of a difference to the damage she takes from mages.

Weapon: Her base weapon is best for her in this build. And her defense refine is also best for this build, especially if she has +Spd as it synergies well with her specials increasing her damage and her tankiness.

Assist: These are pretty basic assists for a standard attack unit.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire and Icon Skill Special.png Ignis are more effective than Icon Skill Special.png Glimmer or Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow for this build due to the focus on her defense.

PassiveA: Atk Def Bond 3.png Atk/Def Bond 3 works very well with her and even more so if you keep an ally near her as it works on both phases compared to her default Sturdy Blow 2.png Sturdy Blow 2 which only works on player phase.

PassiveB: Guard 3.png Guard 3 is great at keeping specials off of her so she can build up hers as she will most likely double and take little damage from physical damage. Dull Close 3.png Dull Close 3 is fine itself if required to deal with lots of buffed enemies.

PassiveC: Flexible, any cavalry passive will work with her in a cavalry team. Otherwise Drive passives or if you're rich/lucky enough...Odd/Even passives as they will work great with her A Passive(Bond).

Seal: Just another increase to her Atk and Def. Attack Plus 3.png Attack +3 can work fine too if you're lacking. If you have no units for Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 or Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse then they can be used, but there are better units for those.

Firesweep Peri
Click to show/hide build description
Cordelia has respectable attack and speed, allowing her to function similarily to other fast horse lances. However, instead of opting for Icon Class Blue Lance.png Shell Lance+, we use Firesweep Lance+ to more safely engage on enemies without being countered.

The choice of ATK+ or SPD+ mostly comes down to buffs available. With Hone Cavalry.png Hone Cavalry for example, Peri benefits more from ATK+. Without it, she more consistently doubles enemies with SPD+, making it the superior choice.

Peri's assist skill is flexible and should be selected based on your team's needs.

Icon Skill Special.png Luna is picked as a solid option to add additional damage to Peri's second engagement. As she should not be counterattacked, it will activate on her second attack, should her first not KO the opponent. You can also run Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow alongside Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse to maximize damage on the first engagement, making it an effective option.

Life and Death 3.png Life and Death 3 is picked in order to buff Peri's damage output and ensure that she has high enough speed to double most of her opponents. Her high speed also ensures that she will almost never be doubled by any unit without a brave weapon, which is essential to survive and defeat any enemy that is able to return damage to her. The skill also benefits from Icon Class Blue Lance.png Firesweep L+, as it keeps Peri from taking damage when initiating combat. Swift Sparrow 2.png Swift Sparrow 2 deserves mention for keeping Peri slightly safer on the enemy turn, although it makes her slightly more likely to doubled by certain glass cannon units, such as Nino. It is also rather rare, so Life and Death 3.png Life and Death 3 is preferred.

Her B skill has a couple options, mostly coming down to preference. Drag Back.png Drag Back allows you to safely draw a dangerous target into range for an ally to defeat, while Seal Attack will allow Peri to survive a few more key encounters by herself--namely Fury 4.png Fury 4 Nino: Pious Mage Nino: Pious Mage or Spring Camilla without buffs. It also allows her to safely debuff powerful enemies for her teammates to engage.

Her default C skill, Threaten Def, functions perfectly fine and does not need to be changed.

While Peri faces stiff competition as the role of a blue cavalry unit, she stands out as the most viable of them capable of doubling enemies safely for physical damage, giving her a slight niche. She is also more common of a unit than other top blue cavalry units.

Firesweep
Click to show/hide build description
Summer Cordelia witha +ATK IV reaches the same attack/speed statline of her original counterparts +SPD IV used in her Firesweep builds. 35 Attack and 38 Speed. That statline, now available on a Pony.

As the build name suggests, we're using her basically perfect statline for it firesweep lance, alongside moonbow or glimmer for special. Her assist is whatever works better for you between draw back and reposition. Outside of fliers I dont care for my firesweepers to have reposition so I would go with draw back here.

A slot priority is swift sparrow, but using life and death isnt a huge difference here, just sacrificing a bit of ability to tank a hit on enemy phase when need be.

B Slot has a lot of room here. Chill speed will basically guarantee Cordelia is doubling anyone other than lancebreakers. However if you are missing chill speed, swordbreaker will fix the issue of doubling most enemies as most of the speediest issues are all swords anyway. If you have a chill speed somewhere else in your team, that opens up the possibility of running something like hit and run for positioning advantage.

Seal slot comes down to team. If you are in an emblem team I would go attack for sure, as 6 speed from hone cavalry, or especially 12 speed from 3 goads is as much as you will need. Even outside of that though, hone speed with a swift sparrow A slot puts her at 46 speed, there isnt much that will stop you from doubling, especially when backed up by chill speed or swordbreaker. However if you dont have an emblem buff or hone speed on your team, Speed seal will be the better option.
