The following build is similar to Cherche - Mobile Nuke build with minor differences.

An attack boon on Frederick will give you a neutral Cherche. However unlike Cherche who is a flier and is susceptible to archer, Frederick offers 3 movements allowing ground cover. With an attack power of 52 with Death Blow with Brave Axe+. He can one-shot any blue or colourless unit when attacking first (This includes Effie).

As for Green units, Frederick can one shot most green units except these with higher defence, notably Bartre, Hector, Beruka, Michalis, Frederick and Sheena.

Given Frederick is more mobile on land; occasionally with his low res, he needs to run away from Mages. By allowing an assist skill like Pivot; it allows Frederick to create further distance from a Mage making him attack first.

For special skill, Bonfire will give Frederick 18 more attack. With 18 more attack he can one shot even more Green allies. If the user do not have enough skill points, Frederick Vanilla Skill Luna works perfectly in the need of being able to one shot opponent with high defence like Hector and above.

For his A passive, we take Death Blow because it gives the highest attack bonus and because Frederick should only be initiating.

For his B passive, Drag Back allows Frederick to move back in case a Mage is in range. Quick Riposte can help if you have Frederick to tank a hit or two, after tanking he will have his special skill Luna, Bonfire activated. Additionally, Pass can work on Frederick if a user wants to bypass and attack the Mage first with his high might.

For his C passive, Threaten Attack is used if Frederick is needed to tank a certain hit. Threaten Defense allows Frederick to attack even harder.

Frederick's enemy phase capabilites are often overlooked. He has an astonishing 36 Def (39 with a boon) and 35 Attack. With this build, he's able to ORKO a vast majority of all Axe, Lance and even Sword units in the game.

His Slaying Axe reduces his Ignis cooldown to 3. If he gets doubled, he will trigger his Ignis within one Round of Combat (because of Quick Riposte). Since he reaches 53 Atk/Def(with a Def boon) on enemy phase due to Sturdy Stance and close Def, an Ignis proc will deal more than 90 points of damage(Steady Stance will make him deal a similar amount of Damage). Since he's incredibly difficult to ORKO, he will trigger Ignis very consistenetly. As for his Assist and C-Slot skill, he should run Skills that support Magic tanks. His 14 Res isn't going to be enough to even survive blue mages, so including a Magic tank on his Team is a must.

There is also something to be considered if you run him on a Horse Emblem team. Increasing his Speed is a terrible Idea, as he'll fail to proc Ignis against some slow units (like Sigurd and Ares), so buffing him with hone/goad Cavalry is not recommended. That being said, a Fortify cavalry buff will help him reach even greater hights, and can even make him able to take on blue Dragons.

Chill Knight

With the advent of the skill Chill Speed, Frederick is able to take a second look at the Spd superboon he has access to. Investing all the way into it with a boon, refine, and seal, he can hit a rather impressive 40 Spd if using Life and Death, or 38 with the alternative of Fury. A more traditional fast unit has more options in that they don't need to dedicate their B and S slots specifically to speed boosting, but the Polite Knight makes up for this with his sky-high defense stat granted to him by having a low true base Spd. Even with Life and Death, he comes out with 31 Def to his name; with Fury, it swings all the way back up to 39. Now quite difficult to double, he'll take physical hits great while also dishing out consistent damage with both a high Speed and Attack stat. For his special slot, Melon Crusher+ is a more expensive option that can help secure kills out of the gate, which can be especially useful against teams with multiple very fast units, something that will put a wall in front of his reliance on Chill Spd. In this case, Moonbow is the choice special, as a two charge. The more available Slaying Axe+ can also be used, allowing use of three charge specials; in particular, Luna pairs well with Life and Death, where Fury puts him in a fantastic spot to sport Bonfire instead.
