Mage Counter

This build focuses on using Hawkeye's great bulk to great effectiveness by letting him be a blue wall and having having the option to counter green mages as well. Slaying axe with moonbow allows Hawkeye to counter attack right away and giving him the ability to one shot some green mages. Can opt for iceberg or glacies for stronger counter hits if using quick riposte. G tomebreaker can be considered to ensure Hawkeye does not get doubled by green mages as blues will not deal significant damage to Hawkeye so he can focus on making his green match ups better. Panic ploy is the C skill of choice to remove buffs from the mages you plan to bait with Hawkeye.

Budget Guardian

This build focuses on letting Hawkeye fight as a melee bruiser while having the HP to provide panic ploy support. Emerald axe adds to his tankiness vs blues letting him run axebreaker to allow him to fight enemy axes. Iceberg and glacies are recommended to give Hawkeye a strong burst attack after building the special up against a blue unit. Fury is a good universal bruiser A skill, but HP +5 can be considered to amplify his panic ploy supporting as he will need 5 more HP to debuff the more higher HP enemies. Panic ploy seal is used to super hit team by making the enemy buffs reverse making them easier to deal with.

Hawkeye is a slow attacker meant to take out mages with his decent resistance and respectable attack. Now that Skill Inheritance is out, Hawkeye can capitalize on his decent attack and insanely low speed to run a Brave Axe+, which is why Hawkeye prefers more attack and less speed. Using a Brave Axe+ Hawkeye automatically doubles on initiation whereas otherwise, he doubles only a very small amount of people under certain conditions.

For his passives, Death Blow as Hawkeye's A skill is not only cost effective, it is also doubly beneficial due to the fact that Hawkeye attacks twice using the Brave Axe+ meaning Death Blow's attack applies to both hits. Axebreaker is taken as his B passive to allow him to check other heroes the same color as Hawkeye, expanding the amount of units he can OHKO. The C slot is replaceable but using Hone Speed or Hone Attack lets Hawkeye boost his Allies' offenses.

Drag Back is the preferred support skill for Hawkeye to let his allies move out of enemy range after an attack or move his allies closer to the enemies. Reposition can be used for this purpose as well.

Three charge specials are preferred with Brave weapons, thus either Iceberg or Draconic Aura should be used dependent on a player's specific Hawkeye's IVs. Due to his high Res, Iceberg is typically the better choice over Draconic Aura unless a player's Hawkeye is -Res.
