|For players who wish to use Julius right away, he can put some common or relatively accessible skills to good use.
Weapon: Loptous is Julius's weapon of choice. It grants him +3 Res, and it also has an in combat debuff effect, debuffing an enemy for -6 Atk during combat if the opponent isn't wielding a dragon slaying weapon, which helps mitigate damage taken. However, this also means that Julius himself can be slain by dragon slaying weapons like any Falchion or the Naga tomes. He'd probably fold against any sword wielder anyway however, and while this means Naga tome wielders will have effective damage against Julius, he'll still have the weapon triangle advantage and really high Res.
Assist: Draw Back is a good Assist in general to use for ranged units. Its uses are more defensive, allowing the user and an ally to move back one space. Ranged units usually don't want to be in the line of fire too much, so Draw Back can help them retreat.
Special: Glimmer is chosen for its fast charge, and it helps Julius maximize his damage against his foes.
A Passive: Triangle Adept 3 magnifies the weapon triangle advantage Julius has, making him a good green slayer. Alternatively, Death Blow 3 could help help better against neutral matchups, heightening Julius's Atk instead.
B Passive: G Tomebreaker 3 allows Julius to punish green mages by ensuring that he performs a follow up while his foe can't. This slot is flexible though, as he could put Axebreaker 3 to good use to smite axes instead, or his natural Guard 3 to deter enemy Specials.
C Passive: Atk Ploy 3 can be put to good use as Julius has high Res, allowing him to debuff foes pretty easily, letting him mitigate damage taken even further. This slot is flexible though, open to be whatever else the player needs.
Sacred Seal: Res Ploy 3 can be put to good use as Julius has high Res, allowing him to debuff foes pretty easily, letting him deal more damage to his foes. This slot is flexible though, open to be whatever else the player needs.
