This build's objective is to give Lukas an incredibly vicious retaliation to any melee attacker. His weapon is the Slaying Lance+, which boasts a pretty good 14 Mt, but more importantly, it speeds up the Special charge. His Special is the key to this build. Ignis adds damage based off of the user's Def, and given that Lukas has 41 Def, it's certain to punish if not outright demolish any melee assailant. Steady Breath grants Lukas +4 Def when he's attacked, and it grants him an extra Special charge this way as well. Wrath grants Lukas a Special charge at the start of his turn if his HP is less than 75%, letting him fire off another Ignis later in the match. More importantly, if his Special activates by attacking, then it deals +10 damage when it activates. This can work during combat. With his weapon and the Quickened Pulse Seal, Ignis starts off at a charge of 2. Lukas gets hits once, and then Ignis is charged, ready to use on the retaliation. Ideally, Lukas would take enough damage for Wrath to activate as well, as it would add even more damage to his Ignis while letting Lukas charge his Special faster afterwards. As for the rest of his skills, his Assist is Reposition, being a versatile positioning skill that can help propel an ally into the fray or out of danger. His C skill is flexible, and is whatever the player needs.

Mixed Enemy Phase

Resistance bane is a superbane so we avoid that. Berkut's Lance + allows us to tank magic as well (+7! res when enemy attacks), especially with Refinement which gives +4 res and +5 hp to boot. This allows us to tank MGrima and Fae. QR to cover abysmal speed. Bonfire wins most matchups. DC is self-explanatory on a mixed tank. +Def/-Hp loses to only 10 heroes and most of them are green mages and Myrrh. Seal choice subject to player's preference.

With naturally high defenses, the best Res-boosting weapon available to become a fearsome mixed tank and 2 squares movement, Lukas shows himself to be an excellent hero to +10.

Brashful Wrath

This build allows Lukas to be a very potent offensive presence. It capitalizes on Lukas' great physical bulk and high attack to be able to pull off devastating double specials backed by wrath once he is in brash assault range. This is thanks to Luka's great physical bulk making him one of the few units that can engage in multiple battles making him one of the best users of brash assault seal without needing to run desperation

+Atk, Slaying lance+ combined with wrath and moonbow gives Lukas great one shot potential against mages and red sword units. Brash assault then ensures many kos against enemies who survive the first assault. Reciprocal aid allows Lukas to fully heal most allies and get into fury or wrath range fast. Threaten atk ensures more kos on green units when in brash assault range.

Fury can also be run for easier setup and if hp sustain is not a problem.

Noontime allows Lukas for prolonged battles whiles still gaining from wraths +10 dmg for each proc. Though what he gains in increased longevity he looses in one shot potential (esp against mages).

Threaten Def allows for more Ohkos against non-green units.

+Atk is optimal but +def can be run just as good.

The Two-Step Goodbye

If you want to use Lukas as a wall in the single most literal sense of the phrase, you've come to the right place. With Steady Stance 3 and Close Defense 3 stacked, you'll have 53 Def on enemy phase, making nearly everything bounce right off you. Even strong axe units like Hector and Legion can only hope to do chip damage to Lukas like this. Fortress Def 3 is a good budget option, only sacrificing 1 Def and 3 Atk for something infinitely easier to obtain. -Spd will drop him down to a disgusting 19 Spd, but this is all part of the plan. See, if you get doubled under Quick Riposte's effects, you can proc a 3-charge special in one round of combat. Ignis will become a 3-charge special thanks to that shiny new Slaying Lance+, and since Steady Stance and Close Def both count towards its damage, Lukas's second attack will have a whopping 42 damage added onto it every single time. Because his Spd is so low, we can ensure he gets hit twice every single round, and that 53 Def, in addition to adding to his damage, will also make him take no damage from anyone not carrying an Emerald Axe. Mages, of course, eat this particular Lukas alive, but that's never his strong suit anyway. Keep him away from mages, and he'll wall out every 1-range unit in the game.

Like college kids at a beach, there’s gonna be a bonfire. This build is designed to be played as a wall for backline troops, while being able to shred anyone who dared to attack. Because or either steady or warding breath, each attack on Lukas acts as two in regards to his special timer, and with the -1 from slaying lance+, how a turn should play out is enemy attack, Lukac bonfires, and if they manage to survive, they will most likely double him because Lukas’ speed it quite bad, but quick repost will allow Lukas to attack again, bonfireing a second time. While Steady breath is important for the defence, any skill with a special cooldown charge of +1 is necessary for this build. Renewal is simply there to keep Lukas healthy enough to quick riposte and the assist skill can really be anything that let’s Lukas get in between your squishy backliner’s and the scary other team. Pair him up with a spur or hone defence to further his tankiness and in turn, damage.
