This build aims to make Seth a physical green counter based around his base kit and solid Def stat.

We keep his default Icon Class Red Sword.png Ruby Sword+ to effectively wall green units (although green mages will still pose trouble due to his subpar Res). Players should be wary of any green units running Cancel Affinity 3 though (eg. Uncommon variants of Hector), as this skill will nullify Seth's effectiveness against green units and also cause him to take neutral damage back.

His default Icon Skill Assist.png Swap is also fine to keep as it allows him to switch positions with an ally and put himself in the heat of battle to tank an enemy if needed.

For his special, we utilize his solid Def and take Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire. With a neutral Def stat, this nets him an additional 16 Dmg when Bonfire procs.

It is recommended to use Fury 3.png Fury 3 for the all-around stat boosts to both his offenses and defenses.

For his B passive, Quick Riposte 2.png Quick Riposte 2 allows Seth to retaliate twice against an enemy regardless of his own Spd. While his Spd is not completely terrible, it is still fairly low in a speed dominant meta. Quick Riposte also allows him to charge and ready Bonfire more quickly as well. Alternatively, a player can take Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3 to give Seth the ability to tank speedier Red Swords as well alongside green units.

Both his C passive and Sacred Seal are flexible depending on what Seth himself or his teammates need, although seals bolstering Seth's tanking ability are solid seals to take.

With this build Seth reaches 44 Def in the player phase and 51 Def in the enemy phase thanks to Safeguard+, all while debuffing enemies with Atk Smoke. This enables Seth to battle several physical attacking enemies by himself. He may not one round KO all of his oponents but he will most likely survive, and even with Fortress Def -3 Atk penalty he actually hits quite hard with bonfire. He is however quite bad at tanking magical units so he should stay out of magical units range. Although it should be mentioned that with that much defense he is able to bypass Myrrh's Great Flame so that could be handy in arena assault.

Firesweep Seth
Click to show/hide build description
Being one of three red Cavalry units, Seth can make excellent use of the Firesweep Sword, particularly with Cavalry buffs. Being able to attack with no fear of counterattack is a massive boon, and as such we're here to take full advantage of that. With Fury and a Speed boon, Seth hits a respectable 37 Speed before any buffs are applied, as well as a massive 50 attack with Firesweep Sword in tow. Add on Cavalry buffs and now we're cooking with gas. Fury provides an overall boost to stats, and is taken over Life and Death because of Seth's reasonable physical bulk, with Swordbreaker ensuring we get the KO on units like Ayra and Mia, as well as ensuring any poor spacing is mitigated by them only being able to hit Seth once on attack. Drag Back can be taken instead if you're not particularly worried about other sword units, and can let Seth attack an enemy he won't be able to KO to bring them into range of your other units who can. Hone Cavalry is Hone Cavalry, and could reasonably be any of the various horse buffs. Moonbow is the special of choice, letting you hit armor units particularly hard, letting Seth break through dangerous foes like Winter Tharja or Zelgius, though Bonfire can be taken if you're ok with a slower special but more consistent damage, adding on 17 extra damage after Fury's buffs, or more if you have Fortify/Ward Cavalry. The Sacred Seal slot is particularly flexible, though a few stand out above the rest. Attack and Speed +3 are obviously great for pure stat boosting, though Attack Smoke can be useful to make the enemy phase safer. Really, the Sacred Seal slot is purely dependant on your team composition, so go nuts and experiment!
