Abel's stat spread makes him flexible as either an offensive or defensive option on a Horse team. This build aims to maximize his outgoing damage with his default weapon Icon Class Blue Lance.png Brave Lance+ and Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3, while tanking his defense.

With another member of the team utilizing Hone Cavalry, Abel's offensive stats are pretty good. 50 atk (56x2 damage on the charge) 33 speed. Most anything fast enough to double you is squishy enough that you can assault them to kill them. Seeing as you're on a horse, that's actually pretty easily done. He might not win as many matchups outright as Reinhardt, but there's less being run in the Arena that's a straight-up Counter to him. Between the two, Abel is a more balanced companion to a Cecelia.

Hit and Run.png Hit and Run allows Abel to retreat after he engages on an enemy. Although not as effective as fliers due to inability to move onto forest terrain, being able to attack and retreat to be Repositioned away more easily by allies is still a powerful option. Drag Back.png Drag Back can also be used as it essentially has the same effect, just that Drag Back will pull back a surviving enemy whereas Hit and Run will not.

He doesn't have the the defensive stats to make use of Bonfire or Iceberg, so Icon Skill Special.png Luna gets you the most bang for your buck. Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is fairly standard for a horse, especially one that is only going to see combat when he initiates it.

Seeing as he benefits a lot from Hone Cavalry, it makes him the go-to pony for Fortify Cavalry.png Fortify Cavalry therefore. You can easily run double Hone Cavalry.png Hone Cavalry, however. It's up to you and how you structured your team.

For those with the resources, this build maximizes Alfonse's combat potential by allowing him to reliably tackle both sword and axe units.

Despite not having IVs, Alfonse's base attack of 35 is sufficient for him to effectively use a Brave Sword. This allows him to bypass his low speed stat and always attack twice as long as he initiates combat. The -5 speed penalty is negligible due to his already low speed.

As with all Brave weapon builds that do not need the ability to perform quadruple attacks, Death Blow 3 is the best A slot for Brave Sword Alfonse, giving him an extra 12 attack when he initiates combat. No other skill comes close to providing such a great offensive boost, which is critical due to the low might of Brave weapons.

Although Axebreaker 3 may seem like the go-to option, Swordbreaker 3 is preferred since it allows him to survive an enemy phase against sword units if needed. Axebreaker is unnecessary to one round common axe units other than Hector and Amelia, and those two matchups are remedied by giving Alfonse the Hone Attack 3 buff. Swordbreaker will also allow him to kill sword units on player phase if you him to.

As with most units, Alfonse's C slot is flexible and should be based on whatever his team needs the most. Typically, this is a buff of your choice.

For his special, either Luna or Aether will work. Luna is the more practical of the two when you need Alfonse to duel two or fewer units, which is the most common scenario. Aether is superior in cases where you need Alfonse to fight three or more units, typically in Arena Assault, due to the sustain it provides.

For the Sacred Seal slot, Attack +1 is recommended as it complements his Brave Sword well. The extra attack is also useful once you face units with higher merges in arena.

Falchion Gaiden W.png Falchion (Skill)

Alm has all the right tools to give him a fantastic player phase presence, and he has a niche that no unit can really match. Thanks to his refined Falchion, he can deliver two powerful consecutive strikes, and he can take full advantage of Windsweep to deny his opponent from counterattacking at the same time. With this, he can safely engage a majority of units and proceed to crush them.

Weapon: Falchion Gaiden W.png Falchion is Alm's weapon of choice. When given its special skill, it will allow Alm to strike twice in a row like a Brave Sword+. Instead of having low Mt and a Spd penalty, Alm instead takes 5 damage after combat, which is rendered moot as the Falchion also comes with self recovery, allowing him to patch that small bit of damage right back up. The Falchion is also effective against dragons, making Alm an excellent dragon slayer.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Luna is chosen as Alm's Special, as it lines up well with the rhythm of Alm's strikes. After attacking twice, Alm's Special charge will be at 1, meaning his next foe will have to take one strike, followed by another with Luna charged. Alternatively, Alm could use Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow if he's using the Heavy Blade 3 Seal, as his high Atk would allow him to activate it on the second strike. Both Luna and Moonbow will help Alm puncture through his opponent's defenses.

A Passive: Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 is the only A skill Alm needs. He will only be initiating combat against his opponents, so the +6 Atk from Death Blow will be greatly appreciated.

B Passive: Windsweep 3.png Windsweep 3 is a fantastic choice for Alm's B skill. Not only does he come with it naturally, but it pairs perfectly with the Phantom Spd 3 Seal. With those two skills combined, any physical foe that has 40 Spd or less will be unable to counterattack, letting Alm get free damage on them, if not outright defeating them. This makes Alm safely engage a lot of opponents, fearing almost nothing. However, this slot is open and flexible for other skills, should the player feel like other skills would be needed. Hit and Run is a solid choice, as it lets Alm retreat one space backwards after attacking, letting him return to his allies more safely and get out of harm's way. Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3 is another option for Alm to smash through the sturdier sword wielders and come out on top.

C Passive: Alm's C skill is flexible to be whatever the player needs. A buffing skill like a Drive could work to help support his team. Infantry Pulse 3 or Panic Ploy 3 could also work nicely thanks to Alm's good HP. This is all dependent on the player's discretion and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Phantom Spd 3 is chosen as Alm's Seal, but only if it is paired with Windsweep 3, as it is mostly pointless otherwise. This is what will help boost Alm's effective Spd to 40 when used in calculations for Windsweep. If a different B skill is chosen, then Alm should equip Heavy Blade 3 instead. With Alm's high Atk, he'll be able to charge his Special even faster, letting him use a Special like Moonbow on the second strike.

Alm becomes a MONSTER on player phase with this build. With his attack boon and Death Blow 3. He will reach a staggering 58 attack alone, and if you pair him hone buffs or buffs from Delthea/Linde. His attack will go even higher making Death Blow 3 an absolute MUST for Alm if he is +attack. Even if Alm isn't +Attack. His attack stat will still be good enough for Death Blow 3. This combine with Glimmer and Heavy Blade will make it so he can instantly kill most of his opponents in one round as these 3 skills maximize Alm's potential in player phase. Renewal 3 is his most optimal skill for him as it helps Alm get back up to full hp quicker allowing him to use his Falchion refine consistently. Threaten Defense and Threaten Speed allow Alm to kill his opponents easier due to their defense being lower.

Alm's potential is truly brought out with a little help from friends: Walhart's Chill Def 3 and Brave Celica's Death Blow 4 give him the best damage output of any sword user. I don't need to tell you how good Double Lion is, so let's get into doing the single highest amount of damage possible.

First, the special. You've got two options here: With Glimmer and Heavy Blade 3, Alm can ensure that his second, guaranteed, consecutive strike does 1.5x damage. This makes him a better nuke, but since he can get 4 charge off of Galeforce just from attacking once like this, that's also a viable option, and with healing and team support, can let him use Double Lion twice in one turn. The choice is yours.

Second, the B Skill. We can skip the A, as there's only one option you want there. Chill Def ensures Alm's always striking as hard as possible, getting around the defense of everything but the bulkiest of lances like Lukas. Cancel Affinity, while providing less general utility, can turn some of Alm's hardest counters into easy targets if they have Triangle Adept, ensuring every unit takes the full brunt of damage from him.

Finally, his C Skill. Honestly, this is the most flexible. Atk Smoke is what I'd recommend, as it helps keep him from being destroyed on enemy phase if your positioning is off. Other options like Infantry Pulse to go with his high HP also work, but this is the least important part of the setup, and up to you.

Alm does best when exclusively used on player phase. He can delete any enemy he faces, but needs team support with skills like Reposition and Drag Back to make sure he doesn't leave himself open to hits. He can be tricky to pull off, but devastating when the pieces are set up right.

The aim of this build is to allow Arden to be a player phase monster, having the ability to quad no matter his hp percentage.

Weapon: Icon Class Red Sword.png Brave Sword+ is Ardens free weapon of destruction. It allows him to double for free, and even quad due to his personal skill, Follow-Up Ring.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Swap and Icon Skill Assist.png Pivot will both improve Arden's mobility. Often you will be using these assists to disengage due to the player phase nature of this build, so Swap may often be a more favorable option, being able to work in more situations (though Pivot will also have its instances where it will help more. It's helpful to have a unit with Reposition on the team to further help any disengagement.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Ignis is Arden's best special option when it comes to damage due to it playing off of his incredibly high defense stat. It will be very easy to charge thanks to Brave Sword+ and Follow-Up Ring allowing multiple attacks, it's also bound to be charged after being hit by a counter-attacking unit (unless an ability that prevents followups is in play). Bonfire is another good option for weaker but quicker peril for your opponents.

A Passive: Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 is a fantastic skill for Arden as it greatly increases his damage potential and digs a deeper grave for any opponent hoping to survive a hit. Attack Plus 3.png Attack +3 is a decent budget option, and can very well be helpful if Arden is caught during enemy phase.

B Passive: Follow-Up Ring.png Follow-Up Ring is a very essential part of this build. Arden's raw speed is way too low to naturally double any unit with a respectable speed stat, this ability completely dismisses his speed and allows Arden to follow up attack regardless of how much his Armor weighs him down. This synergy this ability has with Brave Sword+ allows him to proc his Ignis or Bonfire in one encounter, with Ignis being dependent on if your enemy can counter attack. This is until Arden reaches 50%, in this case his Seal takes the baton.

C Passive: Armor March 3.png Armor March 3 is a staple ability on any Armor Emblem team, as it fixes the natural Armor unit flaw of only being able to move 1 space. While you may have Amelia for this, it wouldn't hurt to have a second Armor March unit for if you would wish for your Armor team to split up into twos. If not then Hone Armor.png Hone Armor is another great armor emblem ability to boost your other armor units that will likely be running other abilities like Armor March or Ward Armor.png Ward Armor, but it depends on what your armor emblem team already has. Some non-Armor emblem C skills for regular teams could be Threaten Def 3.png Threaten Def 3 to soften an enemy up for you or your team or Panic Ploy 3.png Panic Ploy 3 since it takes advantage of Arden's incredible HP.

Standard Brave weapon build for Arthur. He has relatively good attack but poor speed, so the speed penalty from Icon Class Green Axe.png Brave Axe+ won't change much. Unfortunately, he is typically outshined by other high Atk, low Spd Green Axe users (eg. Cherche) who get more mileage out of this build than Arthur does. However, this build will still pose a decent threat to most Blues, a handful of Greens, and a few low Def Reds.

As a brief rundown, since this is a Brave build, focus on increasing his Atk stat as much as possible to maximize his Brave weapon damage output. With this thought, take +Atk as his boon while taking -Res as his bane (since he shouldn't be facing much magical combat). -HP and -Spd are ok options as well, but -HP hurts both his physical and magical matchups while -Spd has -4 on the bane.

For more Atk, we choose Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 with its +6 Atk to be his A-slot passive and take the Attack Plus 1.png Attack +1. With this setup, he takes care of almost all except the tankiest of Blues. Next we want him to be able to handle units of his own color - namely Green Axe users - so we choose Axebreaker 3.png Axebreaker 3 to allow him to quadruple attack and take care of most other axe users. His default Lancebreaker 3.png Lancebreaker 3 can also be chosen instead to focus on eliminating tankier blue lances as well.

For his special, Icon Skill Special.png Luna is the standard choice on Brave Builds. Arthur's Def is not really high enough to merit Bonfire, but it could be considered another option.

His C-slot and Assist skills are flexible. Assist positioning skills such as Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition are recommended though as they provide utility for a team to expand range of movement. For Arthur's C-slot, this is typically based on what a team needs. To increase the number of solo wins he can achieve with Brave build, Threaten Def 3.png Threaten Def 3 is also a viable option but can be difficult to activate or plain unnecessary in a ranged unit meta.

This is a very offensive build for Barst, utilizing his relatively high attack stat and Icon Class Green Axe.png Brave Axe+ and Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 to take care of both ranged and melee units with ease. One of the key units that Barst can one shot without taking any damage is Takumi, and thanks to his relatively high defense stat, Barst is able to withstand a hit from him the turn before as well.

Unfortunately due to his low resistance stat, he cannot live most damage from glass cannon mages, but if he gets the first attack he can take out most mages in one round, regardless of color advantage.

Brave weapon users typically want to go with 3CD specials. Icon Skill Special.png Luna in this case would be a solid special to pick up to reduce Def/Res of enemies; however, Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire can also be used for an additional +15 damage and consistency over Luna.

Taking Axebreaker 3.png Axebreaker 3 on Barst gives him an advantage against some tankier axe users such as Hector, Sheena, etc. Because of Brave Axe and Death Blow, Barst can either finish off many different red units, or even just straight up kill them from full if they are less physically defensive.

His C skill is flexible, but Spur Atk 3.png Spur Atk 3 is a fine choice that can be taken as it's his default C skill.
