Tana boasts a pretty good offensive stat spread, lending well to a Brave Lance+ build, giving her a strong player phase presence.

Weapon: Icon Class Blue Lance.png Brave Lance+ is Tana's weapon of choice, allowing her to perform two consecutive strikes upon initiating combat.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger. Fliers put it to especially good use thanks to their freedom of movement.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is chosen for its defense piercing effect, and with the Quickened Pulse Seal, Tana will activate this on her second hit. Otherwise, Icon Skill Special.png Luna is chosen since it lines up better with the rhythm of Tana's strikes.

A Passive: Death Blow 3.png Death Blow 3 is a strong option for Tana's A skill, granting +6 Atk when initiating combat. Death Blow 4.png Death Blow 4 is a superior, stronger option, but it's more elusive.

B Passive: Hit and Run.png Hit and Run is a great option for Tana's B skill. It allows Tana to retreat one space after attacking, letting her return back into formation with her allies. This skill is effective on fliers due to the fact that they don't really have to worry about any terrain getting in their way. Chill Def 3.png Chill Def 3 is another great option, allowing Tana to debuff the enemy with the highest Def anywhere on the map, which would in turn help her or her allies deal more damage.

C Passive: Goad Fliers.png Goad Fliers is a good option to help augment the offense of her flier allies, but otherwise, this skill slot is flexible, open to be whatever else the player needs.

Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse.png Quickened Pulse is an option for Tana's Seal to activate Moonbow more quickly, otherwise a simple Atk boost from Attack Plus 3.png Attack +3 will suffice.

In another player phase focused build, Tana can also put the Firesweep Lance+ to good use.

Weapon: Icon Class Blue Lance.png Firesweep L+ is Tana's weapon of choice, which prevents her and her foe from counterattacking. This means she has no enemy phase presence, but a completely safe player phase.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger. Fliers put it to especially good use thanks to their freedom of movement.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is chosen for its defense piercing effect, and with the Heavy Blade Seal, Tana will activate this on her second hit. Otherwise, Icon Skill Special.png Luna is chosen since it lines up better with the rhythm of Tana's strikes.

A Passive: Life and Death 3.png Life and Death 3 is a great option for Tana's A skill. It grants her +5 Atk and Spd, but -5 Def and Res, however she shouldn't be getting hit anyway, so this helps augment her offense.

B Passive: Hit and Run.png Hit and Run is a great option for Tana's B skill. It allows Tana to retreat one space after attacking, letting her return back into formation with her allies. This skill is effective on fliers due to the fact that they don't really have to worry about any terrain getting in their way. Chill Spd 3.png Chill Spd 3 is another great option, allowing Tana to debuff the enemy with the highest Spd anywhere on the map, which would in turn help her or her allies outspeed them and deal more damage.

C Passive: Guidance 3.png Guidance 3 is a great option for Tana's C skill, because Tana can soften up and weaken tougher foes, retreat one space backwards with Hit and Run, and create a space where another ally can warp in and finish the job. Should this be unnecessary however, then this skill slot is flexible, open to be whatever else the player needs.

Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 is a good option for Tana's Seal, granting her an extra Special charge if she has higher Atk than her foe, which buffs can help with. This allows her Moonbow to activate on her second hit should she meet the stat check and her Special charge isn't being deterred. Otherwise, a simple Spd buff from Speed Plus 3.png Speed +3 will suffice.

This build uses Tana's unique weapon Vidofnir, and it is more focused on enemy phase melee tanking. It should be noted that +Def is a superboon, granting her an extra point of Def.

Weapon: Defense Plus W.png Vidofnir is Tana's weapon of choice. It grants her a defensive buff against melee foes, and when refined, it also grants her some Res to fight against dragons. A +Def refine is chosen to help improve her physical bulk even further.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger. Fliers put it to especially good use thanks to their freedom of movement.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is chosen for its defense piercing effect, letting Tana break through tougher foes. Alternatively, if the player is patient, Icon Skill Special.png Ignis can be quite rewarding to pull off. A successful melee exchange will see Tana take one hit, then retaliate twice, and then Ignis should be at a charge of 1. The next melee foe that initiates against her will have to take an Ignis backed by all of the defensive buffs that Tana will have, which will surely fell her foe.

A Passive: Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 is Tana's A skill. It grants +6 Def and Res when attacked at melee range, which will stack with her weapon, allowing her to tank melee foes pretty easily.

B Passive: Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is Tana's B skill. When she's attacked, this skill will grant her a follow up attack, which works well with this build's enemy phase playstyle. Guard 3.png Guard 3 could be chosen instead to help deter enemy Special charges, preventing Tana's foe from breaking through her defenses.

C Passive: Goad Fliers.png Goad Fliers is a good option to help augment the offense of her flier allies, but otherwise, this skill slot is flexible, open to be whatever else the player needs. Atk Smoke 3.png Atk Smoke 3 is a good option if Tana needs to take to the frontline and tank multiple melee opponents.

Sacred Seal: Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 is Tana's Seal. It grants +6 Def and Res when attacked at melee range, which will stack with her weapon and A skill to an impressive total of +19 Def and Res when attacked. Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 should be chosen if she's using Guard as her B skill, and while this means her defensive boost will be smaller, she'll be able to perform a follow up attack when she's attacked, which can help her punish her assailant.

This build is for players looking to use Tana right out of the gate, geared to work on either phase, and it favours a mixed team setup.

Weapon: Atk Spd Bond Infantry Armor W.png Vidofnir is Tana's weapon of choice. It grants her a defensive buff when attacked at melee range, and when refined, it grants her some Res against dragons as well. When given its special skill, Tana gains +4 Atk and Spd in combat if there are any armoured or infantry allies near her, which can help her go on the offensive on the player phase, giving her a pretty decent melee performance on either phase. This special effect pairs well with Guidance, as only armoured and infantry allies can take advantage of the skill anyway.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is a good Assist in general to use. Its uses are versatile, as it can either help bring an ally closer to the fray, or bring an ally out of danger. Fliers put it to especially good use thanks to their freedom of movement.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is chosen for its defense piercing effect, which can help Tana to break through a tougher foe.

A Passive: Spd Def 2.png Spd/Def 2 is a decent budget option for Tana's A skill, granting a simple +2 Def and Spd, but it works on both phases. This slot is really flexible however, open to be whatever the player needs. Some options include Fury 3.png Fury 3, which boosts Tana's overall stats, but the recoil might be unappealing in more drawn out maps. Darting Blow 3.png Darting Blow 3 grants Tana +6 Spd when initiating combat, giving her a better player phase performance, and then her Vidofnir's main effect and her Seal can give her a better enemy phase performance. Brazen Atk Def 3.png Brazen Atk/Def 3 grants Tana +7 Atk and Def when she's sufficiently injured, which can help her both offensively and defensively.

B Passive: Hit and Run.png Hit and Run is a great option for Tana's B skill. It allows Tana to retreat one space after attacking, letting her return back into formation with her allies. This skill is effective on fliers due to the fact that they don't really have to worry about any terrain getting in their way.

C Passive: Guidance 3.png Guidance 3 is a great option for Tana's C skill, pairing perfectly with Vidofnir's special effect, allowing infantry and armoured allies to move closer to Tana and grant her the offensive stat buff she needs, or she can help ferry them across the map. Should this be unnecessary however, then this skill slot is flexible, open to be whatever else the player needs.

Sacred Seal: Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 is Tana's Seal, which grants +6 Def and Res when attacked at melee range, which will stack with her Vidofnir's effect to a total of +13 Def and Res when attacked at close range.

Windsweep is the star of the show here, it perfectly compliments Tana's default kit. She can contribute damage safely and help advance infantry while getting the most value out of her special weapon's bonus defense.

Tana's weapon is very unique in that it boosts her defense on the enemy phase, yet at the same time she has great stats to be an offensive threat. This build takes great advantage of the duality of her strengths. On the player phase swift sparrow 2 gives her a great offensive boost to mow down opponents and Hit and Run allows her to retreat to safety afterwards. On the enemy phase Vidofnir, her speed and the Distant Defense seal will keep her alive to fight another day. Keeping her Guidance 3 skill in the C slot is recommended to allow a healer to get to her quickly or allow an ally to use swap or reposition to bail her out of a tough jam. This build flip flops between offense and defense and allows Tana to make fantastic use of her legendary weapon in a creative way.

This build is designed to maximise Tana's offensive potential. It requires very high investment but transforms Tana into a monster who can devastate teams in the player phase whilst still retaining her utility.

The strategy is to reduce Galeforce's charge time enough to proc after one combat phase, so that Tana can have two moves against most enemies on the first turn. This can set up a double kill in one turn, finish off tankier heroes with an extra attack, or simply allow her to flee other threats after taking out her target. The second move can also be useful in conjunction with Guidance 3 with infantry based teams, allowing Tana to move into a position after attacking which can help bring your other heroes into the fight, or protect Tana in the enemy phase.

Slaying Lance+ is essential for the -1 special cooldown. The +Atk refine means she does not suffer a reduction in offensive stats compared to her Prf weapon, Vidofnir. With the addition of Quickened Pulse in the Seal slot this brings Galeforce's cooldown to 3 on the first turn. Heavy Blade 3 is also essential for the additional cooldown reduction on attack. To ensure this will proc as often as possible, a +Atk nature is necessary which boosts an unmerged Tana to 53 Atk unbuffed. When Heavy Blade procs, Tana simply needs to hit an enemy once and recieve a hit in return, or double a ranged enemy, to activate Galeforce.

Swordbreaker 3 and Guidance 3 in the B and C skill slots make Tana a perfect companion to a tanky dragon unit, covering off the Falchion weakness and improving team mobility. These can be swapped out for other skills such as Flier buffs based on your team composition.
