Foggy Breath
Click to show/hide build description
Tiki's refined breath opens up some more options for her, including a powerful one shot build.

Tiki's best boon for this build is +Atk, followed by +Def. Attack gives her more one shot potential, especially against green dragons who can threaten her due to her low speed and mild resistance, while Defense helps her soak up physical hits. Resistance isn't necessary, as she is able to OHKO green tome threats and green dragons, given the effective damage her weapon provides. Her best bane is -Spd, as she doesn't really need the speed and it's already low enough.

Icon Skill Weapon.png Breath of Fog provides a defensive option for Tiki, especially on enemy phase due to her easy condition to get the Atk Def Bond 3.png Atk/Def Bond 3 at two range effect, as well as effective damage against enemy dragon foes. These two factors combined make Fog Breath capitalize one her strengths, tanking physical attacks and hitting back extremely hard, while also patching up her main coverage weakness: opposing dragons who can either outspeed her or otherwise double her. If you do not plan on running another dragon or sword on your team, any stat refine of your choice (besides speed) works well.

As a frontline tank, Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is the optimal choice for an assist, though this choice can change based on what your team composition wants. Though, like other movement skills it can be switched out for a double rally for points.

Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire is a fairly standard special choice for Tiki, especially because she comes with it, and she can activate it on her first combat. Alternately, Icon Skill Special.png Ignis is also a strong choice for her, as most of the time Tiki doesn't even need a special proc to kill her first enemy, and thus she is primed to attack on her second combat.

A Skills

Distant Counter.png Distant Counter is a very generic, albeit extremely powerful, A skill, allowing Tiki to counter attack versus ranged units. Due to her weapon hitting the lower defensive stat, tagged with her great attack, she can OHKO most mages on the counter attack, making this a great skill for her.

B Skills

Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is essential for allowing Tiki to duel bulky units, as she has an abysmal speed stat. While Tiki has some OHKO potential on player phase, she will mostly be attacking on the enemy phase, so Quick Riposte easily becomes the skill of choice.

Alternately, one can go an alternate build such as Wrath 3.png Wrath 3. This is similar to the Ignis build, but utilizes the special Icon Skill Special.png Aether instead, using the -1 CD below 75% HP to have an empowered Aether on the second attack, allowing Tiki to also heal up.

Tiki can also opt to cross over into sword counter territory by running Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3. Due to her impressive bulk, she can generally tank a single sword hit and then kill them using her two attacks. This also lets her cross into player phase territory against sword units, adding extra flexibility to how she can be played.

C Skills

For a C skill, Tiki can take anything, but Panic Ploy 3.png Panic Ploy 3 is advised if you're not running the skill on someone else already. Other possible choices are Infantry Pulse 3.png Infantry Pulse 3 given her high HP pool or just any Hone/Fortify/Spur/Drive of your choice.

Sacred Seals

Tiki's seal slot is pretty open. Defensive options such as Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 and Distant Def 3.png Distant Def 3 are always strong choices. Alternately, especially if you are running Icon Skill Special.png Aether, Heavy Blade 3.png Heavy Blade 3 works well on Tiki, giving her a way to accelerate special cooldowns without a Breath skill.

If you are not running Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 as her B skill, you should instead run it as your seal.

Breath of the Divine Dragon (QR Seal)
Click to show/hide build description
Steady Breath Tiki seeks to be a defensively powerful dragon that can fully tank most Axe threats without breaking a sweat, while simultaneously being able to easily deal with ranged threats. By running Quick Riposte as her seal, Tiki can run Guard to deal with special charge skills such as Bold Fighter, or Swordbreaker to allow Tiki to cross into sword slaying territory.

Both an +Atk Boon and a +Def boon work well for this build, and have about the same performance. Because Tiki is already very slow, losing speed with a -Spd bane is not very consequential.

Icon Skill Weapon.png Lightning Breath+ is the obvious weapon of choice, and the +Def refinement gets the biggest bang for its buck. Given the propensity of green dragons, it's nice to have a single source of extra res through the weapon or breath is nice, making +Res a strong choice as well.

As a frontline tank, Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is the optimal choice for an assist, though this choice can change based on what your team composition wants. Though, like other movement skills it can be switched out for a double rally for points.

Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire is the best special for Tiki. While its natural cooldown of 3 is increased to 4 with Lightning Breath+, this detriment is minimized with the use of Steady Breath.png Steady Breath.

Steady Breath.png Steady Breath is the crux of this build, easily allowing Tiki one shot brave weapon units, and otherwise secure kills on other ultra bulky units. In addition, if Tiki is able to OHKO an enemy (because they are a mage or otherwise), she will have a precharged Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire for the next combat, allowing her to dispatch a vast majority of units. Alternately, Warding Breath.png Warding Breath is a strong A skill choice if Steady Breath.png Steady Breath is unavailable, essentially contrasting whatever refine you picked.

Guard 3.png Guard 3 is an extremely powerful skill for Tiki to run, allowing her to completely neutralize Bold Fighter axes. Because of her naturally high defense, the only way for them to deal substantial damage to Tiki is by getting off high cooldown skills such as Ignis. Guard completely stops this, while also stopping Bow specials such as Moonbow that can also put a dent into Tiki.

Alternately, Tiki can opt to cross over into sword counter territory by running Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3. Due to her impressive bulk, she can generally tank a single sword hit and then kill them using her two attacks. This also lets her cross into player phase territory against sword units, adding extra flexibility to how she can be played.

As a C skill, Tiki can take anything, but Panic Ploy 3.png Panic Ploy 3 is advised if you're not running the skill on someone else already. Other possible choices are Infantry Pulse 3.png Infantry Pulse 3 given her high HP pool or just any Hone/Fortify/Spur/Drive of your choice.

Because it is not run on B, the Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 Sacred Seal is essential for allowing Tiki to duel bulky units, as she has an abysmal speed stat.

One word of caution though, be careful of +atk, very highly merged buffed Julia as given an optimal scenario for her [heavily outmerged, attack buffed] it is possible to get one shot by her.

Icon Skill Weapon.png Lightning Breath+ is the obvious weapon of choice, and the +Def refinement is her best performing breath refinement.

Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire is the best special for Tiki. While its natural cooldown of 3 is increased to 4 with Icon Skill Weapon.png Lightning Breath+, this detriment is minimized with the use of Steady Breath.png Steady Breath.

Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is essential for allowing Tiki to duel bulky units, as she has an abysmal speed stat. Because she uses Steady Breath.png Steady Breath, which only has an effect on the enemy phase, Quick Riposte easily becomes the skill of choice.

Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 clearly becomes the best seal on the Steady Breath build. This is because you generally do not need the defense versus bow users, as brave bow users will be eliminated by Bonfire, and the rest will usually just get one shot.

One word of caution though, be careful of +atk, very highly merged buffed Julias as given an optimal scenario for her [heavily outmerged, attack buffed] it is possible to get one shot by her.

(Budget) Sleeping Fury (QR B)
Click to show/hide build description
Being a dragon with very high attack and the possibility to counter at any distance without sacrificing her A slot, Tiki performs exceptionally well at dealing with enemies in Enemy Phase, even with less merges than them. This build can go two different paths, with Fury or Atk/Def bond, but both builds aim for the same goal: to one shot squishy opponents and otherwise tank through bulkier ones.

Tiki's weapon of choice is Icon Skill Weapon.png Lightning Breath+, with the +Def refine. Although this build stacks attack, the increase is just +2, while the def refinery upgrade gives 4 def, which ends up helping Tiki a lot in important matchups against popular swords like Ayra: Astra's Wielder and Elincia: Lost Princess.

As a frontline tank, Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition is the optimal choice for an assist, though this choice can change based on what your team composition wants.

In terms of special, Icon Skill Special.png Glimmer triumphs over Bonfire due to the cooldown increase that the weapon provides, considering this is not a Steady Breath.png Steady Breath build. The fact that any ranged enemy has to tank her hits with their lowest defensive stat, Glimmer outputs much more damage than usual, when it does proc. If the first engage has the enemy die on her first hit, she'll have the special ready for the next Enemy Phase fight.

For a solid budget build, Fury 3.png Fury 3 remains a top tier choice. Tiki utilizes most of the stat boost from Fury, namely the Atk, Def, and Res. In addition, Fury allows Tiki to perform at her full potential by herself, allowing for flexibility of unit placement.

The B skill choice, Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3, allows the slow manakete to always double in the first bait, in the case where she cannot kill in the first hit, but can afford to take a double. Due to her low speed, she can find it hard to kill bulkier enemies without triangle advantage if she cannot double them. Because Tiki will be doubled by the vast majority of enemies, Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire becomes the special of choice, as with the 4 charge cooldown, after Tiki's 4 rounds of combat on her first enemy phase (getting hit twice and hitting the enemy twice) she will have bonfire charged up. The subsequent player phase will then allow Tiki to OHKO a lot of her enemies with the Bonfire. This is more preferable to Icon Skill Special.png Glimmer in most cases because the same attack round special usually is not useful, generally overkilling her enemies.

As a C skill, Tiki can take anything, but Panic Ploy 3.png Panic Ploy 3 is advised if you're not running the skill on someone else already. Other possible choices are Infantry Pulse 3.png Infantry Pulse 3, Fortify Dragons.png Fortify Dragons or a buff of choice.

Regarding the seals, Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 is recommended over Distant Def 3.png Distant Def 3 as this increases Tiki's ability to duel swords and Bold Fighter Axes. Because Tiki relies on OHKOing ranged threats, and she doesn't get OHKO'd on return, the effectiveness of Distant Defense is reduced. However, because it's possible (especially with Fury) for Tiki to get dispatched by certain variants of Lyn, Distant Defense 3 is also a safe option if you use Tiki as your bow counter.

Being a dragon with very high attack and the possibility to counter at any distance without sacrificing her A slot, A!Tiki performs exceptionally well at dealing with enemies in Enemy Phase, even with less merges than them. The implementation of Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 as a seal allows Tiki to run many different B skills, which change what units she can counter in giving her a lot of flexibility in what you want Tiki to specialize in.

Tiki's weapon of choice is Icon Skill Weapon.png Lightning Breath+, with the +Def refine. Although this build stacks attack, the increase is just +2, while the def refinery upgrade gives 4 def, which ends up helping Tiki a lot in important matchups against popular swords like Ayra and Elincia.

Alternately, one can opt for Atk Def Bond 3.png Atk/Def Bond 3, which greatly improves the two stats Tiki focuses on, and is what makes her even better. Because Tiki has the res bulk to marginally survive and then OHKO all of the green mages, even with Emblem Buffs, you don't lose much from not having the res from Fury 3.png Fury 3. This skill sacrifices the player phase stats that Fury gives in return for better enemy phase survival against physical units.

Because this build utilizes the Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 seal, the overall best B skill becomes Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3, as it allows Tiki to walk over all sword units. Tiki's impressive bulk allows her to tank one hit (or two if they use Brave), even potentially from Lucina, and then depose of them using the breaker. This also allows Tiki to player phase these sword units. However, compared to other B skills this makes her weaker to Bold Fighter axes, which can defeat her with their special attack.

Another strong skill to run is Guard 3.png Guard 3, which allows Tiki to easily deal with Bold Fighter axes, neutralizing their ability to use specials. This build is much weaker against sword units, as many are generically strong enough to kill Tiki on the double

Alternately, one can run Wrath 3.png Wrath 3 to greatly empower Tiki's second action. This then wants the special of Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire, which will get -1 cooldown and thus be active on her subsequent player phase. This empowered Icon Skill Special.png Bonfire then allows Tiki to one shot the vast majority of enemies, allowing her to quickly dispatch two enemies, one during the enemy phase and one during the player phase when Tiki is usually lower HP.

For her Seal, Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is required, as it is not being run in the B slot.

This is an alternative high-investment build for people who either lack access to Steady Breath or just want to try a different strategy that isn't limited to the Enemy Phase. While most debuffers in the game are squishy units who need to keep their distance, Tiki is sturdy enough to stick around and enjoy the benefits herself, making her excellent at crowd control so long as her allies can remove specific threats.

The effect of Dark Breath+ gets a massive boost on refinement, upping the debuff to -7, hitting the targetted unit, and activating in any Phase so long as Tiki is able to attack (plus the usual "lower of Def/Res" against ranged units). That, Sol, Vantage, and Threaten Res combine to make Tiki a nightmare for the enemy in any long term battle, as after the initial round both the enemy and their nearby teammates will struggle to maintain a decent damage output, while Tiki hits harder, picks off injured units before they get to do anything, and recovers. The key, therefore, is to make sure that the first enemy she engages is one that poses little threat to her (usually a green or ranged unit, possibly a low Res sword depending on how high you can get her Atk), allowing Dark Breath+ to soften up the rest of the enemies ahead of time.

Tiki has the highest Atk of all Infantry dragons (only slightly behind Myrrh and male Grima), which allows her to do substantial damage without having to rely on her Special. Further Atk investment and team support is highly recommended as it will allow her to one-hit knockout lower Res units (or low Def ranged units), which opens up your options for your crucial first attack. However, you can up her Spd instead if you are more concerned about avoiding double hits and capitalizing on the Dark Breath+ Spd debuff.

Reciprocal Aid helps Tiki control her health if Sol alone doesn't hack it, but if you have a healer on your team you probably want Reposition instead.

Distant Def 3 is recommended to allow Tiki to more easily bait green and red mages, but if your team isn't concerned about them, or if you're struggling to get her Atk up to where you want it, Quick Riposte 3 can give her an offensive boost on the Enemy Phase.
