This build revolves heavily around abusing Veronica's half decent bulk and her special staff's effect, in that it effectively gives her a +8 to all stats against any foe she successfully debuffs -- taking her mediocre 21/16 defensive spread to a whopping 35/30 against melee units when used in conjunction with Close Defense, on top of oppressive 54/44 offensive spread after the debuff/buff has taken effect, making her better than any other healer in combat.

Boon/Bane Her +HP superboon is ideal for better scoring in Arena, which helps significantly given the nature of ranged cavalry BST's. However, +Spd can be decent in helping her avoid getting doubled, greatly increasing her bulk.

Weapon: Icon Class Colorless Staff.png Hliðskjálf is Veronica's normal weapon and is pivotal in increasing her bulk, as laid out in the build outline.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Martyr+ allows Veronica to sustain herself for tanking while also healing up hurt allies. Alternately, Icon Skill Assist.png Restore+ allows her to remove debuffs while not losing out on too much healing due to Veronica's good attack. On a budget her native Icon Skill Assist.png Recover+ also works.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Miracle provides Veronica increased bulk to burst moves from specials, but her native Icon Skill Special.png Windfire Balm+ also works

A Skill: Close Counter.png Close Counter is both the highest scoring A skill healers have access to in addition to being pivotal for this build to function.

B Skill: Veronica's native Wrathful Staff 3.png Wrathful Staff 3 is her best B skill. Keep it.

C Skill: Her C-slot is flexible, but leaving it on Close Guard 3.png Close Guard 3 allows her to provide better assistance in addition to her ally buffs and enemy debuffs when firing over an ally's shoulder (in addition to coming as part of her default kit). Alternately buffs such as Hone Cavalry.png Hone Cavalry also work well.

Sacred Seal: Close Def 3.png Close Def 3 helps further increase Veronica's bulk on enemy phase. However, other seals such as Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 to ensure doubles or Live to Serve 3.png Live to Serve 3 to heal Veronica without using Martyr also work.

The purpose of this build is to let Veronica peel the enemies, so something else can finish the enemies off. As she is a staff user, she can also fill the spot in your party as a healer. It works well against every type of enemy, as they cannot counter her no matter what and have their movement reduced to the minimum of 1, leaving Veronica safe with a single Icon Skill Assist.png Draw Back or Icon Skill Assist.png Reposition from an ally.

She fits best in a mixed party, as you can have an armor to heal, a flier for mobility and kiting or a chavalry to finish the wounded enemies off.

Weapon:Dazzling Staff W.png Gravity+ is used to reduce all enemy movement to armor movement and prevent them from attacking next turn with help from a friendly assist. With the refinement it also prevents the enemy counter-attack which is important, as Veronica is pretty susceptible to death as her def isn't that high.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Recover+ is a great option for the healing skill, since after they updated the healing to scale with Atk, she will be able to recover 30+ hp. The reason I didn't choose Rehabilitate+ is because I prefer keeping my units at high health instead of recovering almost dying units, but that is personal preference really, so you could choose what you prefer.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Windfire Balm+ is the special Veronica comes with, and can be kept without any worries. If the build is used correctly, she will never need to heal anyone.

A Passive: Speed Plus 3.png Speed +3 is used because there aren't many offensive A skill options for a staff unit. You could consider using Atk/Spd 2 to help a bit with the damage, but since it is harder to get and doesn't help that much, Speed +3 is more recommended.

B Passive: Wrathful Staff 3.png Wrathful Staff 3 to increase the damage on the target, not hit by Savage Blow.

C Passive & Sacred Seal: Savage Blow 3.png Savage Blow 3: is used to cause collateral damage. It stacks with itself and Pain+ so it does 14 damage in collateral damage. That's a lot of damage.

Savage Solo/Brazen Veronica
Click to show/hide build description
This build has Aether Raids, Grand Conquests, and Rival Domains in mind.

For best use: Summoner Support, Wind Blessing, and Ally Support either Gunnthra or Hrid. (Both preferred on field for best bulk buffs.)

Using Atk/Spd Solo 3 you can turn Veronica into a even harder hitter than before, granting +6 Atk/Spd. Costly to obtain.

Brazen Def/Res 3 can provide Veronica with additional bulk once she takes damage. You can make her bulk even higher with either Close or Distant Defense Sacred Seal. After she attacks and debuffs the enemy, another 8 stat difference will be applied between her and foe (+4 buff and -4 debuff to foe). This allows her to have high Defense and Resistance making her annoying to kill. Miracle can allow for even additional stalling tactics.
