| This S!Xander build is designed to OHKO most melee physical unit he meets regardless of colour.
Through his absolute sheer bulk and one turn Empowered  Ignis, he has enough HP and defense to burst down a melee physical unit per turn on consecutive turns once Wrath comes online.
The build requires +Atk IVs to maximise his base damage on which his Ignis procs build upon, although +Def is also passable. The build takes -Spd IVs because S!Xander only requires one punch to end every fight, therefore speed is completely negligible, -Res is acceptable but does hurt some of his dragon matchups but not by a meaningful amount.
Slaying Axe+ is used to reduce CD on Ignis, which when combined with Wrath 3/ Quickened Pulse, reduces Ignis CD down to 2 and perfectly in range for Steady Breath/ Warding Breath to boost every turn. Def Refine is preferred to increase bulk and damage of Ignis. Quick Riposte 3 can be an acceptable alternative at the cost of certain difficult armor matchups as well as completely removing the build's ability to provide fully charged Ignis' off a single hit on consecutive turns.
Panic Ploy 3 can be chosen to make use of S!Xander's above average HP but can also be subbed out for other C Slot skills like Tactics or Infantry Pulse 3 which is part of his base kit. |
