Build pages overhaul

The build system of this wiki will be overhauled. Here are the changes I plan to make:

  1. Builds will be moved to the Build Center. The Build Center acts as a central system for wiki builds. The Build Center contains information about the wiki's builds system as well as instructions on how to submit a build, so it doesn't need to be shown on every single page. Builds for Heroes are grouped and listed something like the below in the Build Center: If no builds are available for a Hero, this helps users find out builds for other units that could have a similar role as them. The number next to the Hero represents how many builds are on that page, showing how many builds are available.
  2. The distinction between curated builds and user-submitted builds will be gone. "Curated" status will be removed, and all builds will be displayed the same on equal grounds. Users are encouraged to think and decide for themselves about the builds they are using. Curation is also non-existent these days due to lack of interest or lack of curators. (Invalid builds are still invalid, however there will be no need for an invalid section since the build template will directly check for invalidity and mark invalid builds as such.)

What is going to happen to the builds page tab on {{HeroPage Tabs}}? Will the link be changed to Project:Build Center/{{#var:hero}}, or will the builds page tab just be removed entirely? Markfeh (talk) 18:04, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
Removed. This will encourage users to go to the build center for their builds, as all information about the build system will not be contained on the page, as well as listings of similar Heroes. Builds are also more of a community subject rather than universal/official information, so it will be contained in the Project namespace. Also as I said before please don't make test edits to live templates (especially if you never intended to change anything and just wanted to see how it looks). Even if you cannot get the preview function to work you can still use a test template. Endilyn (talk) 20:26, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
