Description | At the start of turn 1, grants Special cooldown count-1 to ally with the highest Atk. (If that ally does not have a Special skill, this skill has no effect.) |
Notes[ | ]
- Grandscratcher+ does not compare Atk stats.
- Because no comparison is made, skills like Phantom Spd 3 have no effect.
- Unit selection takes place after all bonuses on allies are removed, and before any new bonuses or penalties are applied. All other existing bonuses and penalties count towards their respective stats during unit selection.
- If multiple units are tied for the highest Atk, each of those units will receive the effect.
- Grandscratcher+'s cooldown count changing effect will not trigger if the unit is inflicted with False Start, unless False Start is neutralized by a skill such as Dream Deliverer.
- Cooldown count changes from skills that activate at the same time as Grandscratcher+ (at start of turn) are not considered in Grandscratcher+'s conditions.[1] Skills such as Infantry Pulse 4, Buffer 4, and Odd Pulse Tie 3 will have their effects stack.
Upgrades[ | ]
Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- The skill refines of Grandscratcher+ have the same effect as Wrathful Staff 3 or Dazzling Staff 3.
- Grandscratcher+ allows the unit to deal staff damage like other weapons instead of halving damage after defenses are calculated, rounded down.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4, Splashy Bucket, or Splashy Bucket+ will disable this effect.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Grandscratcher+ can prevent the foe from counterattacking.
- A foe with skills such as Null C-Disrupt 4 or Brilliant Starlight will be able to counterattack.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4 will only be able to counterattack against Staff units.
- A foe with Ice-Bound Brand, Nifl's Bite, or Holy Yule Blade will only be able to counterattack against ranged units.
