This page is about the status effect. For the weapon, see Panic.

Panic is a status effect which causes existing and newly applied bonuses to be treated as penalties. It is important to note that Panic does not remove buffs, it converts bonuses into penalties. This means that it is possible to have two penalties at once, one from a buff and one from a debuff. Combat boosts and debuffs are not affected by Panic. For example, if an ally uses Icon Skill Assist.png Rally Attack on a unit inflicted with Panic, the +4 Atk bonus will become and be treated as a penalty, reducing that unit's Atk by 4.

Retained interaction with other skills while Field Buffs affected by Panic:

  • Buffs which affect the same stat will not stack with each other (eg. Atk Tactic 3.png Atk Tactic 3 and Hone Atk 4.png Hone Atk 4). Only the Buff with the biggest change will apply, granting a larger Penalty.
  • Buffs affecting different stats (eg. Hone Atk 4.png Hone Atk 4 and Hone Spd 4.png Hone Spd 4) will stack.
  • Buffs will stack with debuffs & combat boosts. They will both apply at the same time.
  • If buffs and debuffs exist in the same stat, Icon Class Green Tome.png Blizzard will utilize the greater Penalty within that stat during calculation.
  • Buffs are not affected by skills that target debuffs, such as Icon Skill Assist.png Harsh Command.

When a unit has this status effect, an icon is shown on their sprite on the map.

Aversa's Night Grants Res+3. At start of turn, if any foe's HP ≤ unit's HP-3 and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-3 on that foe and bonuses on that foe become penalties through its next action.
Chaos Manifest Grants Res+3. If a penalty inflicted by a skill like Panic or Threaten and/or a negative status effect (preventing counterattacks or restricting movement) is active on foe, grants Atk+6 during combat and unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack.
Élivágar If unit initiates combat, converts bonuses on foes within 2 spaces of target into penalties through their next actions.
