Description | Effective against beast foes. Grants Atk+3. At start of combat, if unit's Res > foe's Res, reduces foe's Atk/Def by 50% of difference between stats during combat. (Calculates reduction before combat. Maximum penalty of -8.) After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts Def/Res-7 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions. |
Notes[ | ]
- When battling a Beast unit, Attack is multiplied by 1.5.
- A stat comparison made "At start of combat" ignores temporary buffs and temporary debuffs.
- Temporary buffs and temporary debuffs from skills such as Death Blow and Rauðrfox+ will not affect the outcome.
- Only stat boosts outside of combat, such as bonuses and penalties, will affect the outcome.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Sæhrímnir is considered a temporary debuff.
If unit attacked
means if the user attacked at any time during combat. They do not need to initiate combat, deal damage, or survive.- This means that if the foe initiates combat and the user cannot counterattack, the effect will not trigger.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Sæhrímnir is considered a penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit, including penalties, lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the penalty for their first action.
- If the unit also has Grand Strategy, any penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit, including penalties, lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the penalty for their first action.
Upgrades[ | ]
Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- The stat increase that can be applied by Sæhrímnir is considered a temporary buff.
- The "unit's Res minus foe's Res" condition is treated as a comparison between the unit's and foe's Res stats.
- 【Phantom】 effects such as Phantom Res 3 can change which effects are granted by this condition.
- The damage-reduction is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Percentage-based damage-reduction effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Godlike Reflexes activate, the maximum total damage-reduction is 70% instead of 90%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 50%) × (1 − 40%) = 30% of the original damage.

- Sæhrímnir can prevent the foe from making a standard follow-up attack.
- As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a standard follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference is used (including effects that alter this difference).
- Sæhrímnir will not prevent a unit with a "unit attacks twice" effect from performing the 2 consecutive attacks, but the the unit will not be able to perform a standard follow-up attack.
- Sæhrímnir will not prevent the additional follow-up attack of 【Potent Follow X%】.
- A foe with effects such as Mag. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the follow-up preventing effect of Sæhrímnir.
