Description | If unit's HP ≤ 75% and unit initiates combat, unit can make a follow-up attack before foe can counterattack. After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts Def/Res-7 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions. |
Notes[ | ]
- Has the same effect as Desperation 3.
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- Starfish+ does not guarantee the user a follow-up.
- If the user can perform a follow-up, either by a speed check or effects such as Guaranteed Follow-Ups or Quick Riposte 4, the initial attack and follow-up will occur before the foe can perform a counterattack.
- Effects such as Vantage or Spd Preempt 3 have priority over Starfish+'s priority changing effect.
- Starfish+ changes the attack priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be disabled by skills such as Hardy Bearing 3 or Armorpin Dagger+.
If unit attacked
means if the user attacked at any time during combat. They do not need to initiate combat, deal damage, or survive.- This means that if the foe initiates combat and the user cannot counterattack, the effect will not trigger.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Starfish+ is considered a penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit, including penalties, lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have the penalty for their first action.
- If the unit also has Grand Strategy, any penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
