Name of bgm_battle_FE14_01.ogg[edit source]

  • The official name of the song is not "Future You Choose", which is a fan translation, it is actually "Ties That Bind". Unfortunately the in-game soundtrack of Fire Emblem Fates does not include this song, however the Official CD titled Fire Emblem Fates Original Soundtrack has the song. If you take a look here you can see that the official name in the CD is called "Ties that Bind".
If that is not enough to convince you, take a look at the Japanese name, その手が拓く未来は. This song is a reference to the prologue chapter in Fates, which is called "Ties that Bind" in the English version and その手が拓く未来 in the Japanese version. Notice how the Japanese name of this song is (almost) exactly like the chapter name, and can roughly be translated as Future (未来) You Choose (拓く), which is most likely where the fan name come from, showing that even if the CD didn't have an official NA and EU localization, NoA would have translated the song name this way anyway. • According to the recent datamine the name is different MID_MUSIC_NAME_BGM_BATTLE_FE14_01: The Path Is Yours to Climb Valexiv (talk) 09:45, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

Filename column[edit source]

  • The filename column is supposed to represent the game's filename for the song, not the wiki's file names, as this is the closest thing to an official identifier since there are no sound rooms or official Fire Emblem Heroes original soundtrack disks released. Using the wiki's filename is distorting the original data and serves no purpose. Anonymous 21:39, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Title display issues[edit source]

When {{\n}} is used on this page, titles are displayed improperly on BackgroundMusic and Background Music/Appearances. For example: Prologue Birth of a Holy Knight displays as Prologue
Birth of a Holy Knight in BackgroundMusic and Background Music/Appearances. The only way I've found to fix it is to remove {{\n}} entirely. Markfeh (talk) 03:23, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

This should go in Talk:Background Music/Appearances since it is about an error in the way that page parses the data. Endilyn (talk) 04:05, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
Further investigation revealed that the titles are being stored incorrectly for some reason. I'll change the data type of the title field. Endilyn (talk) 04:12, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
The title field now uses the new data type Wikitext string introduced in the recent Cargo update. This issue has been resolved. Endilyn (talk) 04:16, 14 March 2019 (UTC)
