Lists[]

The list for the different levels is long enough to split it using droplists. It’s absurd you have them for the previous topics but not for it, whoever changed it back. Squallex182 (talk) 01:04, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

EDIT: Now edited from web version, my apologies.

The Table of contents is shown on the desktop version. (I don't know why gamepedia/fandom doesn't show the table of contents on moble view, it should.) I understand the map list sections are very long, but they are meant to be subheaders for the sake of organization and to match how they are listed in-game. Markfeh (talk) 01:28, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Is it possible to change Module:MapList's tables to be collapsible themselves? That would work on both desktop and mobile, unlike subheader collapsing that only works on mobile. --Boblers7 (talk) 04:41, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Done. Markfeh (talk) 22:30, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
Table collapsibility does not exist on mobile. You have been told this before. Your change did nothing. Check the results of your edit next time. Endilyn (talk) 22:44, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
My bad, I don't remember being told that it doesn't exist on mobile. Is there anything that can be done to make the list shorter on desktop and mobile? Markfeh (talk) 23:15, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Endilyn, you don’t have to answer in such a rude manner, because that’s the type of attitude that discouraged me (and I’m sure a lot of people more) from try and help contributing with the web anymore, by learning how to do it properly after my mistakes.

I know you’re probably tired of people coming and editing without reading anything about policies and stuff, I was a forum admin for several years, but you should be an example for the newcomers, not the typical grumpy member everyone hates. Think about it.

Regarding the discussion: I’ve noticed that the last table of the page, the one with the related topics (can’t remember the title) is perfectly collapsible on mobile view, even using Safari, which is an incompatible browser.

That table is made implementing a template that includes a conditional statement which should work for this page too.

I don’t know if there are rules against doing so, or the templates are restricted for certain structures (that’s why I’m not gonna try it yet) but I just don’t have the time to read the whole documentation in order to add a few lines of code.

If you think it could be done I can check that table’s code and do it, I really want to contribute with this page, but not under a thread of mean answers and rude corrections.

This is the statement of the template I’m talking about, “mw-collapsible”:

   if args.title and (args.state ~= 'plain' and args.state ~= 'off') then
       tbl
           :addClass('mw-collapsible')
           :addClass(args.state or 'autocollapse')
   end
Hello, please remember to sign your posts by typing ~~~~ after your comment when editing a talk page. Regarding the point on rudeness, Markfeh is not a newcomer, but an established long-time editor I can be honest and straightforward with. I apologize if that bothered you, it is my mistake. I am never rude to any newcomers, even if they do intentionally disruptive actions (example), it is never a problem if they at least try to improve the wiki, no matter what they break. Regarding the collapsibility, it appears to be a core MediaWiki issue, as the page MW:Manual:Collapsible elements displays no collapsible elements on mobile. This decision baffles me as well. The issue with your solution of adding the mw-collapsible class is that it will not solve the problem; the elements will still not be collapsible on mobile, and would work for desktop only. The wiki should try to maintain consistency between the mobile and the desktop versions, especially because Fire Emblem Heroes is a mobile game, and most of the wiki viewers will be viewing it on a phone. Leaving certain features desktop-only will lead to editors becoming unaware of or ignoring issues on the mobile version. Endilyn (talk) 21:19, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

First TD availability[]

I've noticed the first Tactics Drills were noted as being available since . However, the update adding those (2.7.0) has been released at . I checked HertzDevil's JSON and it seams they don't have any start time. Then, shall we note they were release at the same time than the update or the day of the update, but at 7 o'clock UTC. Pival13 (talk) 12:30, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

I think those maps' start time should be changed to update time. --RainThunder0 (talk) 21:16, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
