For players looking to use Lucina out of the box, she thankfully has an incredible base skillset. She really just needs a Special to get going.

Weapon: Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn is Lucina's weapon of choice. It grants her +3 Spd, and it also grants her +4 to all stats when she initiates against a melee opponent. This gives her an edge against them, heightening her offensive stats further while giving her extra defenses should she have to exchange blows.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Future Vision is Lucina's unique Assist. It lets her switch places with an ally, and afterwards, she's granted another action. This lets her help her allies move around while keeping up momentum, as she can either use this to help extend her range and catch a foe off guard. If used properly, it can also act as a Reposition of sorts, using her extra turn to help an ally move further. What's notable is that she can also use it to basically use it to help move her allies around corners, which is something Reposition cannot do.

Special: Icon Skill Special.png Moonbow is chosen as Lucina's Special. It has a fast charge, and it pierces through an opponent's Def, which can help Lucina power through tougher targets.

A Passive: Swift Sparrow 2.png Swift Sparrow 2 is Lucina's A skill. It grants her +4 Atk and Spd when initiating, which will stack with her weapon's effect. With this, she gains an impressive +8 Atk and Spd when initiating against melee foes.

B Passive: Wings of Mercy 3.png Wings of Mercy 3 is an option for Lucina's B skill. This lets her warp over to injured allies and potentially get them out of danger with her Assist. However, this skill slot is really flexible, as there are plenty of other options for Lucina to use. Desperation 3.png Desperation 3 will let Lucina's strikes occur consecutively when she's injured enough, which can occur if she exchanges blows. Swordbreaker 3.png Swordbreaker 3 makes damn sure that she can and will destroy any sword wielders she comes across. Guard 3.png Guard 3 is a good choice to help deter enemy Specials, which she may potentially have to take if she exchanges blows.

C Passive: Distant Guard 3.png Distant Guard 3 is an option for Lucina's C skill. It grants a defensive buff to any ally near her, granting them +4 Def and Res when attacked by any ranged weapon, mitigating the damage they'd take. However, this skill slot is flexible, depending on the player's preference and team composition.

Sacred Seal: Flashing Blade 3.png Flashing Blade 3 is a great option for Lucina's Seal. It grants Lucina an extra Special charge if she's faster than her opponent, and with her bow and Swift Sparrow, this is a pretty easy feat. Should the player feel like other skills are needed however, then her Seal is flexible.

This build makes use of not only the Atk and Spd buff given by Thögn, but also the Def buff. This Bluecina is even more viable than her lance counterpart, having not only her sheer durability, but an even greater attack and speed, all while keeping her support role intact (via range, blessing, and B Skill).

Weapon: Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn is the logical weapon of choice for Bluecina's due to it complimenting her offensive play style and having a high might. As well as granting +3 speed, it will give +4 to all stats upon initiating combat. Of these buffs, the most notable are the Spd, Def, and Atk buffs.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Future Vision is a unique assist that grants Bluecina an extra action after swapping places with an ally. Like Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn, this compliments her offensive play style by granting her momentum and allowing her to reach normally unreachable opponents. With the right set-up, Future Vision allows Bluecina even more mobility than a Cavalier. Also, as CV stated in his other builds (Time to Change Fate! and Defiant of Destiny), it can be used as a Reposition (using the extra turn to move the ally further) or to help move her allies around corners.

Special: Moonbow is Bluecina's special of choice for two reasons. #1: when combined with Flashing Blade 3, it will allow Bluecina to proc her special every fight she doubles; #2: it's better than glimmer in that it will aid her in fighting not just red units but blue melee units too (especially the tougher ones like Lucas).

A Passive: Sturdy Blow 2 is the A Passive this build utilizes. This is what really makes this build unique and an alternative. Most people logically focus on Bluecina's offensive presence by using Swift Sparrow 2 or other similar abilities, but this renders her vulnerable to Wary Fighter users, especially Effie, who will hit her back hard. For Bluecina to be reliable, she must be able to take on every red and most blue units in the game. Sturdy Blow 2, when combined with the effects of Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn and Atk/Def Link 3 (explained below), will grant Bluecina a whopping 13 def/atk upon initiation. This will leave Bluecina unscathed after combat with even the strongest red melee units, and will heavily reduce damage from blue distant counter units.

B Passive: Atk/Def Link 3 has astounding synergy with Bluecina's signature assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Future Vision. Upon utilizing the assist, Bluecina will still have another action AND have the Atk/Def Link 3 effects added. The extra defense will patch up her defense quite nicely while allowing Bluecina to unleash even more powerful blows.

C Passive: The C Passive is heavily reliant on Bluecina's boon. If she has a Def boon, you can patch up her speed with Even Spd Wave 3 (which stacks with Atk/Def Link 3 and is viable on an offensive unit). If she has a Spd boon, her C Passive is flexible. I find infantry units like Bluecina commonly teamed with other movement types, so I personally would use something like Res Tactic 3. However, the choice is yours.

Sacred Seal: Flashing Blade 3 is the best sacred seal due to Bluecina's naturally high Spd stat and her offensive play style. She will be faster than nearly every unit she initiates on, so it is a reliable seal.

Due to the way Lucina's Future Vision assist works, she can make incredible use of Link skills. This build focuses on having her be a buffer while also taking advantage of her Link skill. Notably, she can grant +6 to all stats to her allies all by herself, although this does require the use of Tactic skills.

B Passive: Atk Spd Link 3.png Atk/Spd Link 3 is Lucina's B skill. It grants her and an ally +6 Atk and Spd after Lucina uses a movement Assist on them. This works perfectly with Lucina's Future Vision, as she can use it, switch places with an ally, grant the buff to her ally and herself, and then she can move again to take advantage of the buff. The extra Atk will help Lucina pack even more of a punch, while the extra Spd can help ensure that she'll outspeed her foe.

C Passive: Res Tactic 3.png Res Tactic 3 is Lucina's C skill. It grants +6 Res to any ally within two spaces under the right team composition, which means no more than two units should have the same movement type on the team.

Sacred Seal: Def Tactic 3.png Def Tactic 3 is Lucina's Seal. It grants +6 Def to any ally within two spaces under the right team composition, which means no more than two units should have the same movement type on the team. Between the two Tactics skills, and Lucina's B skill, she can grant +6 to all stats to an ally, making her an incredible buffer. And with her Assist granting herself the Atk and Spd buff, she can also take advantage of the stats she grants.

My brain started hurting when I thought this through. With her +Spd boon, she hits 41 spd, make it 45 when she attacks with Swift Sparrow. She will have no trouble activating Glimmer instantly for the second attack thanks to the newer Flashing Blade seal. Then we add in the Links. Future vision is a combo swap/dance, so after the swap she can attack again. So with Atk/Def Link, she moves an ally out of harm's way or places herself in a defensive position, boosts her own and her ally's Atk and Def by 6, then she can attack or move again. So... That bumps her stats to 58/45/31/17 on attack. Oh... I forgot to add the +4 to all if she attacks a sword, lance, axe, or dragon. So that'd be 62/49/35/21 on attack, and increase the second hit's damage by 50%. Yeah. And let's just throw in Atk Smoke 3 to pad her defenses even more for whoever attacks her next.

Aho. This build is to take advantage of Lucina's stat spread to create a powerful offensive unit.

Weapon: Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn shouldn't be touched. It's much stronger than any other bow for her.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Future Vision shouldn't be touched. It is probably one of the best assists in the game now.

Special: Glimmer combined with Flashing Blade 3 will let her special proc in every fight that she doubles and works well with her high atk stat due to her bow.

A Passive: Life and Death 3 works great for Lucina due to her already low def/res and gives the best atk/spd for the trade off on both phases.

B Passive: Atk/Def Link 3 works great with her assist and buffs both herself and another unit while allowing her to take advantage of the buff right after. Chill Def 3 is a nice budget alternative. Allows her to crush targets easily.

C Passive: Nearly anything can go here. Odd Atk Wave/Even Spd Wave would be amazing to put on her.

Sacred Seal: Flashing Blade 3 will be best for her due to her speed. She can also make use of Heavy Blade 3 if she's a +atk IV.

With a solid offensive spread of 34/35, a strong personal bow, and one of the most interesting assist options in the game, Legendary Lucina possesses the tools to serve as an effective player phase unit.

Weapon: Icon Skill Weapon.png Thögn is legendary Lucina's personal bow that allots a massive boost to all stats on initiation versus melee units, in addition to flatly increasing her speed by three points.

Assist: Icon Skill Assist.png Future Vision is her version of Swap that allows her to move after its use, increasing the effective amount of space she can threaten in addition to other perks.

Special: Moonbow in tandem with the Flashing Blade 3 seal allow her to proc her special in every engagement where she doubles---conditions not particularly difficult to setup given her massive speed bonus on initiation.

A Passive: Swift Sparrow 2 is an instrumental part of her kit as a player phase ranged unit, allowing her to reach required doubling thresholds while also padding her attack on initiation.

B Passive: Desperation 3, another staple of player phase builds, provides a workaround versus foes capable of counterattacking at a two-space distant, provided Lucina is at or below the required threshold.

C Passive: Distant Guard 3.png Distant Guard 3 is a fantastic C skill, especially considering it is part of her base kit, as it provides the effect of Distant Def 2 to allies within two spaces. However, C skills are often quite team specific, so while her base C skill is a fantastic skill in its own right, skills like tactics may provide better all-around support.

Sacred Seal: Flashing Blade 3 is a natural companion to speedy units, as it allows them to proc specials with a charge of two in situations where they double on initiation. Of course, this comes with the opportunity cost of not using a tactic seal or other potential useful options, so the seal slot is relatively flexible.

As is the theme with all player phase-oriented units, dancers can operate well in combination with Legendary Lucina. Guidance support can increase Lucina's effective range while mitigating any terrain issues an infantry unit may encounter. Additionally, the natural obstacles a blue bow unit will bump into will be physically bulky green units, like the various Hectors, Iote's Shield Myrrh, and so on---it is worth considering using a unit capable of hitting their lower resistance with color advantage in tow as well, such as red tome users or a red dragon like Sketchy Summer Tiki (worth noting that in addition to matching up well versus high defense green units, Sketchy Summer Tiki can also provide Guidance support).

Lucina returns to the fray, this time armed with a bow. This set is designed to take advantage of her unique Assist through a Link skill, while either giving her a fighting chance on either phase, or simply improving her player phase.

A Passive: Close Counter.png Close Counter is Lucina's A skill. This allows her to counterattack even when she's attacked at melee range, thwarting any foe who would try and fight her up close, giving her an enemy phase presence. Should Lucina want to improve upon her player phase presence, then her natural Swift Sparrow 2.png Swift Sparrow 2 will suffice instead, which will grant +4 Atk and Spd when initiating combat.

B Passive: Atk Spd Link 3.png Atk/Spd Link 3 is a great choice for Lucina's B skill. She could also try using another Link skill, namely Atk Def Link 3.png Atk/Def Link 3 instead, exchanging some Spd for Def, which can help her survive and exchange blows with slower foes.

C Passive: Atk Smoke 3.png Atk Smoke 3 is an option for Lucina's C skill. It's a good skill for frontlining units, as it debuffs any nearby foe for -7 Atk after the user participates in combat, which can help make future combat engagements with those other foes a little less threatening. However, Lucina's natural Distant Guard 3.png Distant Guard 3 is still a solid option, as its damage mitigation is more guaranteed, mitigating the damage her allies take from ranged weapons by 4.

Sacred Seal: Quick Riposte 3.png Quick Riposte 3 is Lucina's Seal. It grants her a follow up attack when she's attacked, guaranteeing that she'll be just as much of a threat on the enemy phase as well. Alternatively, she could use Attack Plus 3.png Attack +3 for a simple Atk boost to help her hit harder.
