Thank you for playing the Fire Emblem Heroes game! Here's an update from the Fire Emblem Heroes development team.

In an update in February of 2019, we plan to expand the functionality of the Merge Allies feature.

■ About Hero Individual Stats

Fire Emblem Heroes recreates the variation in character growth stats in the Fire Emblem series by assigning stat values that vary slightly between Heroes.

When comparing two of the same Heroes at level 1, one of them may have one more or one less HP, Atk, Spd, Def, or Res. When a particular stat is comparatively higher, it is called an Asset. When a particular stat is comparatively lower, it is called a Flaw.

There are a total of 21 individual stat arrangements, including the possibility of there being no Asset and Flaw. When a Hero is summoned, they have an equal chance of appearing with any one of these 21 stat arrangements.

After a Hero's level has been raised to 40, their Asset stat will be three or four points higher than other instances of the same Hero, and their Flaw stat will be three or four points lower. (The Asset and Flaw stats are predetermined for each specific Hero.)

■ About the Expansion

The stat increase experienced by Heroes during their first merge will be larger than before.

For Heroes with an Asset and a Flaw: In addition to two stats increasing (as happens prior to the update), their Flaw stat will also increase.

Example: Merging a level 40 5★ Eir: Merciful Death (Asset: Spd, Flaw: Res) for the first time.

For Heroes without an Asset and a Flaw: In addition to two stats increasing (as happens prior to the update), those stats will increase by 2 instead of 1 and one of the remaining three stats will increase by 1. (Which stat is increased will vary by Hero.)

Example: Merging a level 40 5★ Eir: Merciful Death (no Asset or Flaw) for the first time

Since the effects of the second through tenth merges will be unchanged, level 40 5★ Heroes merged to +10 after the update will have a total stat difference of +3 or +4 compared to before the update. The stat-raising effect will also come into play during opponent selection in the Arena.

■ About Stat Increases

If the rarity of the source ally is the same or greater than the rarity of the remaining ally, two of the remaining ally's stats will be increased by 1 each. After 10 merges, the five stat types will have been increased by 4 each. The order in which the five stats increase is predetermined by the specific Hero and the individual stat arrangement.

■ About Previously Merged Heroes

The expanded functionality will also have an effect on Heroes who were merged prior to the update. Heroes who were merged one or more times before the update will have their stats further increased after the update.

Please note that the details of the update may change without notice.

We hope you continue to enjoy Fire Emblem Heroes!
