Description | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If unit receives consecutive attacks, reduces damage from foe's second attack onward by 80%. |
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Consecutive attacks are uninterrupted sequences. If Urvan's user counters in between incoming attacks, the number of consecutive attacks is reset.
- Example: A quadruple hit from a brave weapon user gets the damage reduced on hits number 2, 3, and 4 - unless Urvan's user performs a counterattack, in which case only the damage from hits number 2, and 4 is reduced.
- The damage reduction is calculated after offensive Specials and skills that deal extra damage, such as
Wo Dao+.
- Damage reductions by percentage stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as gem weapons and
Triangle Adept.
- For example, if both
Urvan and
Deflect Magic 1 activate, the total damage reduction is 86% instead of 110%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 80%) × (1 − 30%) = 14% of the original.
- For example, if both

Twin Blades and
Deadeye will neutralize Urvan's damage reduction effect when it triggers.

Urvan does not guarantee the foe a follow-up attack.
- If the foe can perform a follow-up attack, either by a speed check or a skill such as
Brash Assault 3, the initial attack and follow-up will occur before the user can perform a counterattack.
Urvan changes the attack priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be disabled by skills such as
Hardy Bearing 3.
