Using the stats of Fire Emblem characters, it's possible to compare them against one-another by converting their stats into a combat forecast against the averages of the entire roster to see who's the best at dealing damage, taking damage, and multiplying those together to see who can get the most kills in their lifespan.This is exactly what this analysis does, while going a step further: adding the bonuses of each character's weaponry into the mix to discover which hero is the best.


Within this analysis, the following assumptions were made:
"All characters are assumed to be level 40. All characters are assumed to have their average stats. All characters are assumed to be a 5 star rating. No characters are assumed to be more or less common than one another, they are all assumed to appear in equal frequencies.
Effects tied to character type, color, and movement all use this assumed distribution. Generic emblem enemies are not considered here. Units are assumed to attack once per turn and be attacked once per turn by 1 opponent for purposes of a wide range of effects.
2.21 fights are assumed to occur for the purposes of healing and other turn-based effects. 2.21 is the average fights survived. This works out to a little more than 1 turn with player/opponent phases.
All post-fight effects are assumed to be in effect for 1 less fight than this, or 1.21 fights.
2 allies are assumed to be nearby for the purposes of +X stats per nearby ally.
Effects based on current HP are assumed to occur an equal % of the time as that % (or inverse % when appropriate). Effects reliant on max HP are assumed to occur ~45% of the time. All characters are assumed to be using their default tier 4 weapon choice. All characters are assumed to have the Special Skill Dragon Fang (deals +50% attack, base countdown of 4) for their offensive skill. All characters are assumed to have no Support, A, B, or C skills, as well as no glyphs. Few of these are character specific, and as such have been omitted."
All staff users are assumed to utilize Pain as their weapon. This is largely done so staff-users can be included in this comparison.
Bonuses that effect allies (Auras, Healing, Debuffs that aid allied damage, Dancing) are not considered for these totals, as they vary to much between play-styles to accurately represent. Units with strong utility are going to be better than their scores here.
The power-budget Movement Speed offers has been ignored for the purposes of this chart, as well as Pass, Move bonuses, and Move penalties.The advantages range offers outside of can counter/can't counter comparisons has not been included in this review.


This does look at:
Max HP, ATK, SPD, DEF, RES. Max level weapon Might. Stat bonuses and penalties. Stat Debuffs (for how much they aid the unit in question alone). Color triangle effects on damage and defenses. Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire effects on damage and defenses. Bonus vs. Colorless effects on damage and defenses. Bonus damage to Infantry, Cavalry, Armor, Flying, Dragons. Vulnerability to bonus damage from anti-Infantry, Cavalry, Armor, Flying, and Dragon weapons. Likelihood to counter-attack an opponent, as well as always counter-attack and prevent counter-attacks. Self-healing. Special skill damage, Special Skill countdowns. Dragon Fang is used for every character.Brave weapon x2 hits.
