That said, Morgan makes great use of it on this set. It grants Atk+6/Res+10 upon unit initiation — not only granting a boost to her raw damage output with her attack stat, but also boosting the damage of Iceberg when it fires off and increasing the likelihood of Morgan's weapon effect activating to boost her stats. It also prevents enemies from making a follow up attack, which is invaluable considering Morgan's middling-to-low Spd.

* Swift Sparrow 2 gives Morgan an extra boost to both Spd and Atk, increasing her doubling potential and therefore her damage output. Her base speed with this build, assuming she procs all bonuses, will go from 30 to 41 when initiating combat (assuming neutral IVs and no merges nor flowers).
* Phantom Res 3 helps ensure that Morgan gets her +4 spectrum boost from her weapon — doubly so when combined with Mirror Impact, even when up against units with hefty Res stats such as Nagi or Rafiel. It's her best choice of Seal.

* Sturdy Blow 2 boosts Morgan's Def when initiating, which can help her survive counterattacks from physical units. (I still wouldn't suggest throwing her at bows unless she OHKOs them, though.)
* Heavy Blade 3 is a decent choice, as Morgan should usually be getting a +7 Atk boost if she's positioned correctly, as well as +10/+4/+6 depending on her A skill, which (with neutral traits and no merges or flowers) would put her at 65/59/61 Atk. Not stellar without Mirror Impact, but far from awful.

Builds Created by Reddazrael

Ashnard Mad King Face FC Ashnard: Mad King

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Madness in the Mirror
Click to show/hide build description
A purely enemy phase build, this takes advantage of Ashnard's impressive defensive stats to tank opponents and subsequently crush them with his excellent offensive capabilities.

【 Weapon 】

 • Icon Class Red Sword Gurgurant is his unique weapon, and the only real choice for him. Not only does it have the very helpful effect of a slightly upgraded Atk/Def Rein before that skill has even been released, but it also has a built-in Iotes Shield Iote's Shield, meaning that Ashnard — who has the stats to be a defensive tank — doesn't need to waste a slot on Iote's to negate his defences being bypassed by bows or specialized tomes.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
 • Skilliconassist Swap is a good alternative if that fits your play style better.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Bonfire hits hard, scaling off Ashnard's high Def stat, and is the best choice if he's only engaging in a couple of battles (or extended battles against opponents who can't appreciably dent his defences).
 • Skilliconspecial Noontime or Skilliconspecial Sol are a good options if you're worried about keeping up with Quick Riposte 3 Quick Riposte 3's requirement through longer engagements; although they won't boost Ashnard's immediate damage output, they will keep him healthy enough to continually manage follow ups, which on the grand scale is generally more damaging to opponents.

【 A Skill 】

 • Distant Counter Distant Counter is the best option for Ashnard. This build is purely enemy phase, so he wants to make sure he can consistently retaliate on enemy phase regardless of his opponent's range.
 • Distant Foil Distant Foil is a choice that increases both his Atk and Def upon being assaulted by physical damage dealers regardless of range, but Ashnard has a high enough Res stat (especially with Mirror Stance 2 as a Seal) that he'd prefer to be able to retaliate against mages as well.

【 B Skill 】

 • Quick Riposte 3 Quick Riposte 3 is a boring but highly effective skill for his B slot, affording him a guaranteed follow up attack so long as his health meets the threshold for activation. Considering his low Spd, he'll almost always need the skill to make follow ups at all.
 • Guard 3 Guard 3 shuts down enemy Specials that could otherwise make a dent in his defences, but has a 10% higher threshold for activation than Quick Riposte and is best used with a healing Special.

【 C Skill 】

 • Flexible as always, C skills are up to preference; Smoke skills are good general choices to benefit both Ashnard and his team, and Wave skills give visible stat boosts to him and any adjacent allies every other turn.
 • Goad Fliers Goad Fliers is equal to Hone Fliers Hone Fliers, Fortify Fliers Fortify Fliers, or Ward Fliers Ward Fliers if Ashnard is placed on a Flying team — it just depends on what the team needs.

【 Sacred Seal w/ Quick Riposte as B Skill 】

 • Mirror Stance 2 Mirror Stance 2 boosts both his Atk and Res on enemy phase, allowing him to deal more damage as well as making his Res equal his Def, allowing him to tank magic just as effectively as physical hits.
 • Atk Def Solo 3 Atk/Def Solo 3 is a fantastic choice if you're more concerned with Def than Res and want dual-phase power, but it depends on team composition; it likely won't work out as well if he's on a Flier team and is getting buffed by adjacent allies' Hone and Fortify skills.
 • Sturdy Stance 2 Sturdy Stance 2 is an alternative to Atk/Def Solo; its combat boost is lower by 2 points, and it's enemy phase only, but it doesn't matter how Ashnard is positioned.
 • Fierce Stance 3 Fierce Stance 3 is an option if you're looking to maximize his damage output instead of worrying about his defences, although you will be giving up Def/Res+4 in exchange for 2 more points of Atk; whether that's a fair trade is up to you.
 • Steady Stance 3 Steady Stance 3 / Warding Stance 3 Warding Stance 3, conversely, are available if you'd prefer to sacrifice Atk+4 for an additional Def/Res+2.

【 Sacred Seal w/ Guard as B Skill 】

 • Quick Riposte 3 Quick Riposte 3 is recommended over Stance Seals if you're using Guard 3 Guard 3 as Ashnard's B skill instead; the ability to strike twice overshadows the Atk+4/6 the Atk-boosting Stances give him. In the case of a Guard/Quick Riposte combo, a healing Special is highly recommended in order to keep Ashnard above both thresholds so that the two skills don't become useless dead weight once his health drops.

Hrid Resolute Prince Face FC Hríd: Resolute Prince

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Frosted Mirror
Resistance Plus W Barrier Blade+ (Res) / Geishun+ (Res)
Traits: +Def, +Res, +Atk/-Spd
Click to show/hide build description
Flying in with the new year, Hríd is unquestionably best suited to be an enemy phase unit. He has the statline of a great physical wall, and with a bit of skill inheritance can function quite well as a mixed tank. He turns into a veritable fortress with a Fortify Fliers boost and would excel on a Flying team, but he doesn't specifically need such boosts to be viable; Hríd is good enough to fit into any team in need of a defensive sword unit.

【 Weapon 】

 • Resistance Plus W Barrier Blade+ is Hríd's best option as a weapon, as he greatly appreciates the Res boost on enemy phase. A Res refine helps boost his base Res stat closer to his impressive Def stat.
 • Resistance Plus W Geishun+ is a decent alternative with its Chill Atk 3 Chill Atk 3 effect, which affects the foe with the highest Atk stat regardless of their weapon, but with Hríd's lower Res it's better to go with Barrier Blade's consistent +7 Res boost on enemy phase.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
 • Skilliconassist Swap is a good alternative if that fits your play style better, and it comes with his base kit.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Bonfire is a great choice with Hríd's inherently high Def stat.
 • Skilliconspecial Ignis is also a good option with a higher damage output, although this build does not give Hríd a way to reduce the cooldown.

【 A Skill 】

 • Distant Counter Distant Counter is more or less required, as this is specifically a DC build. It allows Hríd to retaliate against ranged attackers, and with his impressive defenses he can take initial hits quite well and hit back hard.
 • Distant Ward Distant Ward can also be used if you're not running Iote's Shield and therefore plan to keep him away from bows anyway, and it comes with bonus Atk/Res boosts on enemy phase. Unfortunately, it's much rarer than Distant Counter.

【 B Skill 】

 • Quick Riposte 3 Quick Riposte 3 is really the only choice for Hríd's B Skill thanks to his painfully low speed; it will allow him to double consistently on enemy phase as long as his health stays above 70%. Luckily, this 5★ skill comes as part of his base kit.

【 C Skill 】

 • Hone Atk 4 Hone Atk 4 is Hríd's native C skill, giving a massive +7 boost to the Atk stat of adjacent allies at the start of a turn, and it fits well into pretty much any team. However, it can be switched out for another skill if your team composition requires a different kind of support, especially if you're placing Hríd onto a Flying team.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Iotes Shield Iote's Shield is a must if you want him to be able to manage defensively against bows; despite Hríd's impressive Def stat, a bow will tear right through him.
 • Atk Def Solo 3 Atk/Def Solo 3 is Hríd's next best choice if you plan to keep him away from bow units, granting significant boosts to his Atk and Def on either phase as long as he's at least one tile away from an ally.
 • Mirror Stance 2 Mirror Stance 2 can be used if you want to shore up his Res further on enemy phase. His Res actually tops his Def when he's running this seal with Distant Counter even if his boon is Def, but as he only loses 1 point of damage for his Bonfire, it's not worth switching to Iceberg in case you need to mop up on player phase.
 • Atk Def Bond 3 Atk/Def Bond 3 or Atk Res Bond 3 Atk/Res Bond 3 are decent choices of seals if you plan to keep him close to allies, as they boost his Atk and Res or Def by 5 points each on both phases if he's adjacent to an allied unit.

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Icon Move Flying Flying
Bladed Bulwark
Click to show/hide build description
If you're not going for the Distant Counter build, the other option is to turn Hríd into a flying physical tank. This build does best when in a Flying team so Hríd can gain the Fortify Fliers buffs, but a mixed team with Def Tactic would work as well.

【 Weapon 】

 • Defense Plus W Safeguard+ is a fantastic option for Hríd, as it grants +7 Def on enemy phase. This greatly amplifies his melee tanking capabilities, as he wants his Def as high as possible to deflect incoming attacks.
 • Defense Plus W Geishun+ is his default weapon, and if Safeguard+ isn't available, then Geishun+ an excellent alternative with its Chill Atk 3 Chill Atk 3 effect. While it's a less universal effect than Safeguard+, it will reduce magic damage should Hríd happen to land in the path of a high Atk mage.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
 • Skilliconassist Swap is a good alternative if that fits your play style better, and it comes with his base kit.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Bonfire is a great choice with Hríd's inherently high Def stat, and will unload for large amounts of damage with all bonuses in place. A +Def Hríd with Fortify Fliers, both Atk/Def Bonds active, and a Def refine Safeguard+ will hit for an extra 33 damage.
 • Skilliconspecial Ignis will be overkill with Hríd's massive Def, let's be honest. You don't need to hit for an extra 52 damage, do you? And this build doesn't give Hríd any way to reduce the cooldown. But if you like seeing big numbers, feel free to indulge.

【 A Skill 】

 • Atk Def Bond 3 Atk/Def Bond 3 is his base kit skill, and the ideal choice on a Flying team. He should be parked next to an ally anyway to get the Fortify buff each turn, so he might as well make the most of it by boosting his Atk and Def by 5 points each on both phases. The increased Def will also benefit him if he has Bonfire or Ignis as his choice of Special.
 • Atk Def Solo 3 Atk/Def Solo 3 is his best choice if you're running him on a mixed team or without a Fortify buff, as he won't need to remain close to an ally and can wander further afield in search of unsuspecting prey to let crash upon him like waves breaking upon the shore.

【 C Skill 】

 • Goad Fliers Goad Fliers is equal to Hone Fliers Hone Fliers, Fortify Fliers Fortify Fliers, or Ward Fliers Ward Fliers on a Flying team — it just depends on what you need.
 • Hone Atk 4 Hone Atk 4 is Hríd's native C skill, giving a massive +7 boost to the Atk stat of adjacent allies at the start of a turn, and it fits well into pretty much any team. However, it can be switched out for another skill if your team composition requires a different kind of support.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Atk Def Bond 3 Atk/Def Bond 3 is one of the best seals for him with this build; when paired with his A skill, it grants him a total bonus of +10 Atk/+10 Def when adjacent to an ally and powers up his Bonfire/Ignis to nuke levels. I probably shouldn't have to say this, but only run this Seal if you're also running Atk/Def Bond in his A slot or else you're wasting one skill slot no matter how he's positioned.
 • Atk Def Solo 3 Atk/Def Solo 3 is his best choice if you're also running Atk/Def Solo in his A slot. Don't mix and match, kids. Just match.
 • Iotes Shield Iote's Shield is a solid choice if you're worried about him running afoul of archers, as a high Def won't do him much good against effective damage. That said, this isn't a Distant Counter build, so he's probably best staying away from ranged units anyway.

Lucina Spring Exalt Face FC Lucina: Spring Exalt

Pen Creative
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Bunny Blast!
Click to show/hide build description
Bunny Lucina makes up for her terrible Atk stat with her staggeringly high Adorableness stat. Sadly, this doesn't let her hit any harder, so it has to be patched up in other ways.

【 Weapon 】

 • Speed Plus W Juicy Wave+ is an expensive sacrifice, as it's on another seasonal unit (Summer Camilla, specifically) but it works well here and is a worthy investment. As Juicy Wave+ has the same effect as Desperation 3, it frees up Lucina's B Slot for a different skill.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Ardent Sacrifice is her best Assist skill, as it immediately takes her down to Desperation and Brazen range with the bonus of healing an ally for 10 HP.
 • Skilliconassist Draw Back is a good option if you'd prefer a Movement Assist; it can help her drag her allies out of danger without leaving herself in the line of fire.
 • Skilliconassist Reposition also moves allies, but it could leave her open to a melee attack.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Moonbow is her best choice of Special due to its low cooldown and universal applicability. Lucina is very reliant on her Special (and her Brazens) to deal significant damage, so she wants it to fire off as much as possible.

【 A Skill 】

 • Brazen Atk Spd 4 Brazen Atk/Spd 4 is a very expensive skill, but if you're using Juicy Wave+ then you've already sacrificed one summer unit to a sub-optimal spring unit; what's one more? It's the most synergistic option available, as dropping her health by 10 will be enough to activate both Brazen skills and Juicy Wave+'s Desperation effect. This will grant Lucina +16 Atk/+17 Spd on both phases and the ability to strike twice consecutively on Player Phase.
 • Brazen Atk Spd 3 Brazen Atk/Spd 3 is your best option if the next level up isn't available, giving Lucina Atk/Spd +14.
 • Swift Sparrow 2 Swift Sparrow 2 comes with her base kit and is perfectly serviceable, but it only works on Player Phase and Lucina desperately needs the extra boost to her Atk and Spd stats that Brazen gives over Swift Sparrow. You're already dropping her health to activate her weapon and her Sacred Seal, so while Swift Sparrow will work, Brazen is a much better choice for her A Skill.

【 B Skill 】

 • Lull Spd Res 3 Lull Spd/Res 3 allows Lucina to cripple her foe's defences, all but ensuring that she achieves a follow-up attack and increasing the amount of damage she'll inflict, two things she desperately needs to do in order to be effective in any way.
 • Chill Res 3 Chill Res 3 will give Lucina a much-needed boost to the damage she deals to whichever foe is affected by the -7 Res penalty.
 • Vantage 3 Vantage 3 is an option, if only because being in the right HP range for Desperation also puts her in Vantage range. This is more of a gamble/sacrifice play; while Lucina likely won't have the power to KO an attacking foe in a single preemptive strike, she will at least be able to damage them before going down, allowing her teammates to mop up after she's fallen. This skill does make her unsuitable for modes that require four surviving allies, however.

【 C Skill 】

 • Even Atk Wave 3 Even Atk Wave 3 is a great choice of C Skill for her, because Lucina wants all the boosts to her Atk that she can get. Even Atk Wave is even available rather cheap, available on 4★ Fallen Delthea. Otherwise, this is a flexible slot depending on team composition.
 • Even Spd Wave 3 Even Spd Wave 3 is good if you're worried that Lucina won't be able to consistently manage follow-up attacks, but once both Brazens are active she's hitting 52 Spd even with a Spd bane and no merges; neutral IVs or a Spd boon push her over 54 Spd, so even with the speed creep Lucina will probably need an Atk boost more.
 • Odd Atk Wave 3 Odd Atk Wave 3 is another cheap option, available on 4★ Spring Bartre, but as Lucina will need at least one turn to either take damage in combat or use Ardent Sacrifice to drop her health, she might like an Even skill better.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Brazen Atk Spd 3 Brazen Atk/Spd 3 because Lucina needs to stack Atk Brazens to have a threatening offensive presence, and she wants lots of Spd to ensure that Juicy Wave+ is useful.

Similar to the Bunny Blast! build, with a change in weapon and B skill. As before, Bunny Lucina makes up for her terrible Atk stat with her staggeringly high Adorableness stat. Sadly, this doesn't let her hit any harder, so it has to be patched up in other ways.

【 Weapon 】

 • Speed Plus W Flora Guide+ is an expensive sacrifice, as it's on another seasonal unit (Summer Lute, specifically) but it reduces the foe's Spd and Res by 5 points each during combat, giving Lucina an edge she desperately needs.

 • Brazen Atk Spd 3 Brazen Atk/Spd 3 is your best option if the next level up isn't available, giving Lucina Atk/Spd +14.
 • Atk Spd Solo 4 Atk/Spd Solo 4 works without having to drop Lucina's health, but the bonuses it grants are identical to Brazen 3 (and thus inferior to Brazen 4) and you need Lucina's health lowered anyway for her Sacred Seal and Desperation, so the only reason to use Solo 4 instead is to be able to use Lucina (albeit only at half-potential) on the very first turn.
 • Swift Sparrow 2 Swift Sparrow 2 comes with her base kit and is perfectly serviceable, but it only works on Player Phase and Lucina desperately needs the extra boost to her Atk and Spd stats that Brazen gives over Swift Sparrow. You're already dropping her health to activate Desperation and her Sacred Seal, so while Swift Sparrow will work, Brazen is a much better choice for her A Skill.

【 B Skill 】

 • Desperation 3 Desperation 3 is almost a necessity, as it will allow Lucina to strike twice consecutively once her HP has dropped by 10, hopefully avoiding enemy response entirely (because the enemy will be dead).
 • Chill Res 3 Chill Res 3 will give Lucina a much-needed boost to the damage she deals to whichever foe is affected by the -7 Res penalty. Unfortunately, without Desperation, Lucina risks taking a hit in return against ranged or Distant Counter opponents. Her defences just aren't up for that kind of abuse, especially since she will ideally already have dropped her health to activate her Brazens.

Click to show/hide build description
The game has moved on, and Lyn isn't as much of a monster as she once was, especially with massive Def beasts coming out of the woodwork lately. That said, she's still a brutal unit most days, and is certainly still relevant.

【 Weapon 】

 • Skilliconweapon Brave Bow+ is the core of this build, with the intent of Lyn striking an enemy four times in rapid succession, whittling them down and taking them out in short order. The unfortunate part is that with Lyn's low Atk while using Brave Bow+ she'll be hitting units with high Def for 0x4 damage quite often — but that's where the rest of her kit comes in.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
 • Skilliconassist Draw Back is a good alternative if that fits your play style better, and comes with the bonus of potentially keeping Lyn out of range of melee enemies she can't counterattack.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Moonbow is Lyn's best choice of Special, as she can fire it off twice within one round of combat if it's been charged beforehand, and at least once per round if she hasn't. It scales on enemy Def, allowing her to take chunks out of units she couldn't touch before.
 • Skilliconspecial Luna is a second option, as if she quads she can fire it off and potentially finish off a heavily-armored unit. As a general rule, though, Moonbow hitting twice is more powerful than Luna hitting once.

【 A Skill 】

 • Swift Sparrow 3 Swift Sparrow 3 is an upgrade to her base kit that is an absolute must; it gives Lyn more damage and more speed, both of which she needs to stay relevant in the current game.
 • Swift Sparrow 2 Swift Sparrow 2 will still do if you don't have the fodder, however.

【 B Skill 】

 • Sacaes Blessing Sacae's Blessing is still Lyn's best choice of B skill, as it shuts down many Distant Counter Distant Counter/Distant Foil Distant Foil units and allows Lyn to quad them to death without fear of retaliation.
 • Lull Spd Def 3 Lull Spd/Def 3 is a good option as well, helping Lyn do more damage and quad more often. Unfortunately, it will not protect her from some forms of retaliation, and with her lower defences that could be deadly.

【 C Skill 】

 • Atk Smoke 3 Atk Smoke 3 comes with her base kit and is a handy choice that benefits the entire team; that said, this can be swapped out for pretty much anything, such as a Wave skill or a cavalry buff.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Swift Sparrow 2 Swift Sparrow 2 is her best choice of Sacred Seal, giving Lyn an additional Atk/Spd +4 on top of her A slot Swift Sparrow, bringing her up to Atk+10/Spd+11 when she initiates combat.
 • Darting Blow 3 Darting Blow 3 also works if you want to stack more speed, but generally the +2 Spd isn't worth the trade-off of the additional +4 Atk that Swift Sparrow gives.

Morgan Lass from Afar Face FC Morgan: Lass from Afar

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
The Best Piece on the Board
Click to show/hide build description
【 Weapon 】
 • Fathers Tactics W Father's Tactics is Morgan's unique weapon, and she can use it to best effect with a high Res stat. If her Res is higher than her opponent's, she gets a +4 stat boost across the board, and an additional Atk/Spd +3 if she's within two spaces of an allied unit, for a total of Atk+7/Spd+7/Def+4/Res+4 regardless of combat phase.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is an old standby, and works very well to help snatch allies out of danger.
 • Skilliconassist Draw Back is a good alternative if that fits your play style better, and can keep Morgan out of the range of foes she can't counterattack.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Iceberg is her native option, and it scales off her decent Res stat, allowing her to take a good chunk out of opponents. Her A skill will only increase the damage.
 • Skilliconspecial Moonbow is available as the usual standby for a low-cooldown option, but it won't take advantage of the damage Morgan could be doing with her Res stat.

【 A Skill 】

 • Mirror Impact Mirror Impact is definitely an expensive skill; at the time of this writing, it's only available on three units, all 5★ exclusive and none of whom are available in the normal summoning pool.
 • Mirror Strike 2 Mirror Strike 2 is Mirror Impact's precursor. It's not nearly as good — offers Atk/Res+4 on initiation with no cancellation of foe's follow up — but it'll serve in a pinch, upping Morgan's chances of activating her spectrum stat boost and marginally increasing Iceberg's damage.
 • Death Blow 3 Death Blow 3 is another cheap option, but it doesn't boost Morgan's Res (and therefore has no effect on her weapon activation/Special damage) nor does it prevent her opponent from making a follow up.

【 B Skill 】

 • Chill Res 3 Chill Res 3 is a skill that partially depends on your team composition. While Morgan definitely benefits from docking points from an enemy's Res to help her inflict as much damage as possible, and a lower enemy Res helps activate her weapon, if the rest of her allies deal physical damage, then the team as a whole might be better off with a different skill.
 • Sabotage Res 3 Sabotage Res 3, or any Sabotage skill, is a good bet given Morgan's high Res, as they depend on Morgan having higher Res than foes who are adjacent to one another to inflict a debuff. Whatever stat debuff suits your team make-up best would work well on her.
 • Flier Formation 3 Flier Formation 3 or Aerobatics 3 Aerobatics 3 gives Morgan more movement options, allowing her to swoop in to pick off a foe that an ally might be struggling with.
 • Guard 3 Guard 3 is very useful and comes packaged with her, so there's no reason not to use it if other skills aren't working for your team.

【 C Skill 】

 • Atk Ploy 3 Atk Ploy 3, or any Ploy skill, is a good choice with Morgan's Res, allowing her to cripple foes from a distance.
 • Odd Atk Wave 3 Odd Atk Wave 3 can be obtained via Grails from 4★ Spring Bartre (or from Summer Laevatein if you're already sacrificing her for Mirror Impact) and extra attack power is always handy. If you're using Morgan on a Flier team, though, she might not need the boost if an ally is running Hone Fliers.
 • Ward Fliers Ward Fliers if Morgan is on a Flying team is equal to Hone Fliers Hone Fliers, Fortify Fliers Fortify Fliers, or Goad Fliers Goad Fliers — it just depends on what you need.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Swift Sparrow 2 Swift Sparrow 2 gives Morgan an extra boost to both Spd and Atk, increasing her doubling potential and therefore her damage output. Her base speed with this build, assuming she procs all bonuses, will go from 30 to 41 when initiating combat (assuming neutral IVs and no merges nor flowers).
 • Chill Res 3 Chill Res 3 is a good option if you're not using it as her B skill, softening foes up to her attacks and boosting weapon activation. Other Chill seals can be used as well to suit the rest of the team.
 • Sturdy Blow 2 Sturdy Blow 2 boosts Morgan's Def when initiating, which can help her survive counterattacks from physical units. (I still wouldn't suggest throwing her at bows unless she OHKOs them, though.)
 • Heavy Blade 3 Heavy Blade 3 is a decent choice, as Morgan should usually be getting a +7 Atk boost from Fathers Tactics W Father's Tactics if she's positioned correctly, as well as +10/+4/+6 depending on her A skill, which (with neutral traits and no merges nor flowers) would put her at 65/59/61 Atk. Not stellar without Mirror Impact, but far from awful.
 • Phantom Res 3 Phantom Res 3 helps ensure that Morgan gets her +4 spectrum boost from her weapon — doubly so when combined with Mirror Impact.

Ninian Oracle of Destiny Face FC Ninian: Oracle of Destiny

Build Icon Alternative Alternative
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Defensive Dancing
Click to show/hide build description
This build is pretty budget. It completely discards the idea of Ninian voluntarily entering combat and almost entirely sacrifices her ability to effectively attack in favour of defensive speed and extra bulk. The build functions only when Ninian ends up falling into the line of fire, stacking as much Spd on her as possible to stop her from being doubled as well as giving her more defences.

On enemy phase with this build, Ninian with a Spd boon and Atk bane, no merges and no dragonflowers, reaches stats of 47 Spd/31 Def/35 Res. Not too bad for a budget dancer.

【 Weapon 】

 • Speed Plus W Water Breath+ gives her an immediate Def/Res+4 on enemy phase, and while you could refine Water Breath+ for Def or Res, refining it for Spd is actually a better defence; the fewer doubles Ninian suffers, the healthier she'll be.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Dance, obviously. You certainly don't ask Ninian for a mere Skilliconassist Swap.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Escutcheon or Skilliconspecial Sacred Cowl are both equally valid choices. It just depends on which type of damage you'd like to reduce: melee or ranged. Either way, a damage-reducing Special will help keep her alive as long as possible.

【 A Skill & Sacred Seal 】

 • Steady Posture 2 Steady Posture 2 as her A skill paired with Swift Stance 2 Swift Stance 2 as her Seal gives her Spd+8 on enemy initiation, with Def/Res+4 to shore up her defences.
 • Darting Stance 3 Darting Stance 3 could replace Swift Stance, giving Ninian a total of Spd+10, or even Darting Stance on both A and Seal slots for Spd+12, which would push her up to 49 or 51 Spd. Still, she would be losing Def/Res+4 just to avoid doubles from units that have at least 54/56 Spd, and you really shouldn't be letting her get in the way of such overpowered units anyway because it's not going to go well for her no matter how much speed you stack. Damn it, I'm a unit builder, not a miracle worker.

【 B Skill 】

 • Wings of Mercy 3 Wings of Mercy 3 is nearly a necessity on a dancer, especially one who plans to ignore all combat in favour of pure support.

【 C Skill 】

 • Drive Spd 2 Drive Spd 2 is there to help that support along, but could be replaced with any supportive skill that suits her team's needs. Ninian's native Fortify Dragons Fortify Dragons would serve her well on a Dragon Emblem team.

Dabbling in Danger

Another budget build for Ninian, similar to Defensive Dancing but for one thing: Ninian is now capable of fighting back when someone tries to take her down. This is an enemy phase build, as Ninian still isn't intended to see combat unless forced into it. There's some defensive speed stacking with this build, but her ability to inflict damage is given some love as well. This Ninian won't be winning many fights, but she can at least put up one.

【 Weapon 】

 • Speed Plus W Lightning Breath+ is the staple of dragon units who don't have a unique weapon with built-in Distant Counter Distant Counter, and Ninian is no different. She's still going to be avoiding combat for the most part, but Lightning Breath allows her to strike back regardless of her attacker's range.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Dance, obviously. You certainly don't ask Ninian for a mere Skilliconassist Swap.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Moonbow is her only valid choice. Lightning Breath slows her Special trigger, so she needs something with a low cooldown. Glimmer would be useless, because Ninian won't be making too much of a dent in the enemy on her own, but Moonbow scales off the enemy's Def/Res rather than Ninian's attack power. And she'll need her Special to inflict any significant damage.

【 A Skill 】

 • Mirror Stance 2 Mirror Stance 2 ups both Ninian's Res and Atk by 4, simultaneously giving her more bulk and a stronger offensive presence.

【 B Skill 】

 • Wings of Mercy 3 Wings of Mercy 3 is still golden on a dancer, even if this Ninian is planning on doing some fighting if necessary.

【 C Skill 】

 • Drive Spd 2 Drive Spd 2 is there to support her allies, but could be replaced with any supportive skill that suits her team's needs. Ninian's native Fortify Dragons Fortify Dragons would serve her well on a Dragon Emblem team.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Steady Posture 2 Steady Posture 2 allows for extra speed, reducing the chance that Ninian will be doubled by her opponent, and also gives her a boost to her Def against physical attackers. If Kestrel Stance 2 Kestrel Stance 2 ever makes it into the game as a Seal, it would be a valid option as well, but let's not hold our breath.

Robin Mystery Tactician Face FC Robin: Mystery Tactician

Build Icon Alternative Alternative
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Backseat Tactics
Click to show/hide build description
Very much a budget build. With her mostly middling offensive stats, Robin's best role is that of a supporter who buffs her teammates into nukes. Assuming conditions are right, this build will result in a total stacking of Atk+7/Spd+7/Def+4/Res+4 in combat for any ally within two spaces of her. The caveat to this is that it must be a mixed team; the boost from Tactical Gale's refine only applies when there are no more than two of any move type on the team. It's essentially a +4 Tactic to all stats.

As an Assist, Skilliconassist Draw Back can help her drag her allies out of danger without leaving herself in the line of fire; while Skilliconassist Reposition also moves allies, it could leave her open to a melee attack. Skilliconassist Harsh Command gives her the ability to cancel out the effects of Panic that would reverse the visible buffs she gives to teammates; Skilliconassist Harsh Command+ would be far more preferable but is too expensive for a budget build.

When Robin does enter combat herself, Triangle Adept 3 Triangle Adept 3 gives her an extra and much-needed boost when she goes up against blue and colourless foes. Quick Riposte 2 Quick Riposte 2 will help mitigate her unimpressive speed when on the defence; obviously Quick Riposte 4 Quick Riposte 4 is the better option, but it does require the sacrifice of a 5★ Hero (though not necessarily a 5★ exclusive Hero).

Her native Skilliconspecial Ignis will work fine as a Special, and some may prefer the increased damage output given her lower base Atk, but Skilliconspecial Bonfire fires off quicker for more frequent increased damage and is the recommended choice.

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Frontline General
Click to show/hide build description
Robin wants to do more than just yell orders across the battlefield with this build, which capitalizes on her Def stat to try to make her useful as a damage dealer — though you'll likely have to significantly invest in merges and Dragonflowers to make her truly viable. Ultimately, there are a lot more units who can do this kind of build better, but if Robin's a favourite of yours, you can now let her loose on the front lines.

【 Weapon 】

 • Defense Plus W Tactical Gale is still Robin's best weapon, but now with a Def refine to boost her Def from okay-ish to decent, giving her greater sustain and a stronger Bonfire.
 • All Tactic W Tactical Gale is also an option if you want Robin to still be able to support her teammates, though she takes a hit to her potential Def for it.

【 Assist 】

 • Skilliconassist Reposition is Robin's assist of choice, as she doesn't need to worry about falling in the path of melee units; in fact, she'd prefer it that way.

【 Special 】

 • Skilliconspecial Bonfire makes use of Robin's Def, scaling on it to hopefully inflict enough damage to make up for her low Atk.
 • Skilliconspecial Moonbow has a shorter cooldown than Bonfire and scales off the enemy's Def/Res, which could make it a more potent option against bulkier enemies that Robin would otherwise struggle to significantly damage.
 • Skilliconspecial Ignis is Robin's native special, and will give her a greater damage output in a single hit. Unfortunately, a cooldown value of 4 means that she'll be using it less than Bonfire, so it's not the optimal choice.

【 A Skill 】

 • Close Foil Close Foil is Robin's best choice for her A skill; she certainly needs to retaliate against melee enemies as her build is based around her Def stat, which all but one type of melee attacks, and Close Foil grants her Atk/Def+5 against all physical attackers.
 • Close Counter Close Counter is easier to come by, so it's the optimal second choice if you don't have the fodder for the much rarer Close Foil.

【 B Skill 】

 • Quick Riposte 3 Quick Riposte 3 is Robin's first choice of B skill due to her middling speed, and with her low attack she'll need two strikes to cause significant damage or score a KO.
 • Lull Atk Res 3 Lull Atk/Res 3 is an option if you feel like you haven't foddered enough rare units to her — and to be fair, it will help her damage-dealing potential. Just usually not as much as Quick Riposte, although with the number of skills/weapons popping up that negate guaranteed follow up skills, Lull Atk/Res might be better in some situations. It also doesn't require a certain health threshold to work, so in longer engagements Robin will get more use out of it than Quick Riposte.

【 C Skill 】

 • Res Smoke 3 Res Smoke 3 cuts the Res of any nearby enemies after one round of combat against one of their buddies, which is a boost to Robin's damage potential that she sorely needs.
 • Rouse Atk Def 3 Rouse Atk/Def 3 allows Robin to achieve a visible boost to her Atk/Def so long as she starts the turn non-adjacent to her allies, which synergizes well with Atk/Def Solo as her Seal.
 • Even Atk Wave 3 Even Atk Wave 3 or Odd Atk Wave 3 Odd Atk Wave 3 are inexpensive and are just a straight boost to Robin's Atk every other turn, which she'll find very helpful when attempting to take down foes.

【 Sacred Seal 】

 • Atk Def Solo 3 Atk/Def Solo 3 is Robin's best choice of Seal; it gives her Atk/Def+6 as long as she's not adjacent to her allies, but she can still give them her All Tactic W Tactical Gale boost should you be using that refine as long as she remains no more than one space away, giving the best of both worlds. And if you're not using that refine, then she can go wherever she wants. Well, as long as she doesn't want to be right next to someone.

Yune Chaos Goddess Face FC Yune: Chaos Goddess

Pen Creative
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Merciful Goddess
Click to show/hide build description
This is a gimmicky build based around having Atk/Res Bond, Wings of Mercy, and Breath of Life working in tandem. The idea is that Wings of Mercy triggers and allows Yune to teleport next to an injured ally, where she uses the Bond boost to viciously assault the foe near the allied unit. Breath of Life then heals the injured ally.

Chaos Named can be swapped for Breath of Life to allow for 14 HP healing instead of 7 HP, but removing Yune's personal debuffing skill is not recommended unless you have another teammate to do the debuffing for her, as her Chaos Manifest's power and her follow-up capability relies heavily on having the enemy somehow debuffed.

Anna Commander Face FC Anna: Commander

Dueling Sword Optimal
Build Icon Allpurpose All-purpose
Bargain Hunting
Click to show/hide build description
A budget build meant to make Anna more viable in general use, especially if you need her as an Arena bonus unit. She has no IVs nor merges, so there's not much you can do to alter her stats; however, she will reach 46 Spd with LnD3 and a Spd refine on her weapon, which makes Flashing Blade relatively reliable and allows her to fire off her special more often — this is necessary, as it's her main way of dealing significant damage. Slaying Axe+ with a Spd refine is the better choice of weapon due to its built-in reduced Special cooldown, but it's an expensive investment compared to her native Nóatún.
