Internal IDs seem to be incorrect[edit source]

Where are you getting the internal IDs for the Heroes? They don't seem line up with the internal IDs the game uses. According to this sheet (from this thread), Marth: Altean Prince should have an ID of 29 (or 1D in hex) but you have him listed at 5. Anonymous 21:35, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Not Ale, but the IDs he's inputting are the internal IDs used on the Fire Emblem Heroes website, most notably for being recently used for the Voting Referendum. There's a list here: Elaeagnifolia (talk) 21:38, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
The ID's in that list does not sort all the heroes properly. For example LALilina C0 LAHector C1 LALyn C2 FHTakumi C4 LARoy CF --Ale1991 (talk) 17:00, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
I managed to decode them performing and xor between the ID and 18 (for example 1D xor 18 = 5). I've done for all the ID's and the results are coherent (except Linde) --Ale1991 (talk) 16:52, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
The full XOR value is 0x5F6E4E18, which works for Karla: Sword Vassal and newer heroes, and this has been verified with the x86 disassembly. The ID strings shown in the spreadsheet are actually fragments of the archives at Common/SRPG/Person, namely from hero_definition::id_tag to hero_definition::info::sort_value, when they are loaded into the heap (hence the relocated file_ptr_ts). --HertzDevil (talk) 16:06, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

Redirect pages for other languages[edit source]

Hi, I'm planning to remove all of the redirect pages that were created solely for localization purposes. These pages clutter up the search and autofill results, and will confuse the majority of users who stumble across them. Please understand that this is an English-based wiki, and we cannot be expected to accommodate every other language as well in this way. If we were to create redirects for one language, we would need to do so for the dozens of other common languages as well. And it would need to be done in a consistent manner, not just for a random handful of pages. This would obviously not be a very feasible task.

We currently already provide some support for other languages by including a translation section on most skill and hero pages. These are searchable, so they can be found quite easily if people are looking for them. I feel that this is a sufficient and sustainable way to provide localization support without degrading the experience for other users. If you have any follow up or want to discuss this further, feel free to reply here or reach out on Discord. Thanks. Teg (talk) 21:57, 14 April 2018 (UTC)

Not the crossed ones since they appear in game (Draug, Celica's Lvl. 40 Dialogue).
I'm confused ... localized hero names are ok but localized ability name no? --Ale1991 (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
Yes, Hero names are more important than ability names. There's also a huge difference between 30-40 redirects for Hero names vs 650+ skill names in 6 languages. Having said that, all the skill names are searchable thanks to the "In other languages" section on each of the pages. Valexiv (talk) 21:05, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

"Uncropped" images[edit source]

Do you have any plan with all "Uncropped" images that were uploaded by you? RainThunder0 (talk) 00:13, 8 September 2018 (UTC)

Endilyn said to place these images in Misc -> Gallery but I don't know what it means --Ale1991 (talk) 01:01, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
I meant that on the Hero misc pages, create a gallery section and the place them there. Endilyn (talk) 01:07, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
All uncropped images were added. If there are any error, let me know. RainThunder0 (talk) 14:44, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
