This build consists in two things: recovering HP at every attack, while (kinda) heavily damaging your opponent. Wo Dao+ still does +10 pure damage even with Noontime, and that additional damage will, of course, heal you even more, so it's a double profit. This build resists almost everything, with Joshua being able to avoid being doubled most of the times. Quick Riposte will allow him to always double his enemies, and the build itself will allow him to independently stay in Quick Riposte's range longer, thanks to Noontime + Wo Dao+. If your opponent doesn't double you and you don't finish him in that round, you will have your special charged by that time, so you might finish him off on your player phase. As said above, Noontime + Wo Dao allows Joshua to stay in Quick Riposte's effect range, but what if he goes under 75% HP? You trigger Wrath, which will help you deal 10 more damage. This means more heal (other than more damage, of course), so there's a chance that you will finish off your opponent and go back to QR's range at the same time. Of course, it isn't really necessary, but it's the best option for this build. As Joshua has a very high Res thanks to Audhulma he can use Def Ploy quite easily, and as he has 30 Def and 33 Res (after Weapon buffs) he can easily make good use of Distant Counter against any ranged unit. Essentially this Joshua works with his Jack of All trades style as he has very well rounded Def and Res, and good Atk, Spd and HP. }} {{Skillbuild Infobox |name= Infinite Moonbow |type= Optimal |mode= All |weapon= Audhulma |weapon2= |assist= Reposition |assist2= |special= Moonbow |special2= |passiveA= Fury 3 |passiveA2= |passiveB= Wrath 3 |passiveB2= |passiveC= Hone Spd 3 |passiveC2= Hone Atk 3 |seal= Quickened Pulse |seal2= |description= This build is made similar to the Nephenee build, but put on a much better unit. With Fury as his A skill, he gets a solid 50/38 offensive spread. Along with that, he is able to make use of his B skill, Wrath, to add +10 damage to his specials, making use of Audhulma since that gives one turn cooldown for Moonbow, and thus allows him to activate it more. And once he goes below 30 HP, that means he will be able to use the secondary ability of Wrath, allowing him to always have Moonbow ready for his first fight of a turn, no matter what. And for his C skill, anything is fine, depending what your team needs. I chose one of the Hones, since those are generally most accessible. Quickened Pulse is always a great choice, especially for this set since he'll start a map off with Moonbow. }} {{Skillbuild Infobox |name=Distant King |ivs=Neutral |type=Optimal |mode=Arena |emblem= |weapon=Audhulma |weapon2= |assist=Reposition |assist2= |special=Moonbow |special2= |passiveA=Distant Counter |passiveA2= |passiveB=Quick Riposte 3 |passiveB2=Wrath 3 |passiveC=Def Ploy 3 |passiveC2= |seal=Distant Def 3 |seal2= |description=Joshua makes good use of his fairly high res and the +5 from Audhulma. With the help of a distant defense seal he reaches 39 resistance and with a deflect magic seal he can tank a +10 +Atk Reinhardt. While his speed may look high, it is not enough to double reliably, specially mages, so he makes good use of Quick Reposte. Wrath is an option to kill in the counter attack while setting up another moonbow for the next turn. }} {{Skillbuild Infobox |name= Enemy Phase ORKOing |ivs=Neutral |type=Optimal |mode=Arena |emblem= |weapon=Audhulma |weapon2= |assist=Reposition |assist2=Swap |special=Iceberg |special2= |passiveA=Distant Counter |passiveA2= |passiveB=Wrath 3 |passiveB2=Quick Riposte 3 |passiveC=Def Ploy 3 |passiveC2= |seal=Quickened Pulse |seal2= |description=This build focuses on maximizing the amount of ORKOs Joshua is capable of achieving on Enemy Phase. With the combination of Audhulma's CD-1 effect and Quickened Pulse, Iceberg becomes a 1 turn Cooldown Special, which Joshua will be able to immediately activate after taking a single hit, making for a devastating counter attack. Distant Counter is the obvious and undisputed best A skill for this set, as Joshua would not be able to function as a ranged check without it. The B slot is actually left open for two recommended options, being Wrath 3 and Quick Riposte 3. Joshua only has to lose 10 HP to be put into Wrath range (Unless he's merged, in which case he must take 11 damage), letting him gain 10 extra damage for his Iceberg, which already does 16 damage at base, bringing up to a respect demanding 26 damage. Quick Riposte 3 is here more of less as a budget option if one cannot acquire Wrath 3 to give to Joshua. It should be noted that in more scenarios than not, this lowers Joshua's damage on Enemy Phase and should thus not be used if Wrath is available, but is a usable alternative. The C slot is used for Def Ploy 3. This skill lets Joshua acquire more ORKOs, assuming that he's able to effectively ploy the enemy unit(s) which shouldn't be a very difficult task due to Joshua's fantastic 33 Res after taking Audhulma's +5 Res boost into account. As this build is focused around getting as many ORKOs (or even better, OHKOs) as possible, Def Ploy 3 is highly recommended. The S slot is Quickened Pulse, with no competition. While Distant Def 3 helps him take a few more hits, namely from Bridal Cordelia and Trick or Defeat Jakob, Quickened Pulse puts his Iceberg on a 1 turn Cooldown at the start of the game, letting him activate it after taking a single hit, regardless of range, and lets him retaliate with a 26 damage Iceberg if Wrath is used and ready to activate This set is used entirely for Enemy Phase baiting and is not intended to shine on Player Phase, so try and use Joshua to bait an enemy mage or archer that is unable to kill him, and retaliate with a counterattack that will more than likely slaughter its target. ~Moxie }} {{Skillbuild Infobox |name=Play it Safe |ivs=Neutral |type=Optimal |mode=All |emblem= |weapon=Audhulma |weapon2= |assist=Swap |assist2=Reposition |special=Moonbow |special2= |passiveA=Close Def 3 |passiveA2= |passiveB=Windsweep 3 |passiveB2= |passiveC=Threaten Spd 3 |passiveC2= |seal=Phantom Spd 3 |seal2= |description=Essentially for hitting the enemy on your turn without a problem and staying safe on their turn with the Close Def 3 while constantly throwing out Moonbow. }} {{Skillbuild Infobox |name=Mage Counter |ivs=Neutral |type=Optimal |mode=All |emblem= |weapon=Audhulma |weaponRefine= |weapon2= |assist=Reposition |assist2= |special=Aether |special2= |passiveA=Warding Breath |passiveA2= |passiveB=Wrath 3 |passiveB2=Guard 3 |passiveC= Def Ploy 3 |passiveC2= |seal=Atk Ploy 3 |seal2= |description=This build focuses on taking advantage of Joshua's great res and special accelerating weapon to get fast aether charges while tanking mages and dragons. The C and seal slots are flexible, I personally like the ploys to allow him to support a team when enemies are mostly physical units, which typically have lower res than mages. }}
